I would be extremely happy if he steps up and shows leadership throughout the season. To become the focal point of the team, to have his team around him and work for him where he delivers the goods and takes the team to glory might be a reason for him to stay longer than next summer.

Don't be lured into this I'm still at Juventus talk by him. He's piping up cos he knows he has a deal with Barca for next season. Its inevitable he's a goner. I'm even pre spending his transfer fee a year early. What shocks me more was Vidal's departure. Always felt him as a proper Juventino.

I wouldn't consider someone like Mandzikic a leader
By example you should. He might not be the diplomat out there ala Del Piero but when its time to take it to the opposition he is a guy you sorta wanna follow. By nature players will play harder when they have people like that around them

:agree: He talks big but it's all blah blah blah to me. He can prove he means it by staying.

Actually, Khedira and Marchisio are both supportive and covering players. They enable Pogba to play pretty much as riskfull as he desires. Its the perfect situation for him to truely unleash himself.

Oh, isnt he captain of the U21 side and other youth teams he was at ?

Honestly though, if Pogba is to become our AM, we need another CM.

If our midfield looks like this:

Marchisio
Pereyra-Khedira
Pogba

We only have Sturaro and Padoin as our CM backups, for 3 positions mind you.

Asamoah is still most definitely seen as an LB as the latest Allegri interview on the player tells us.
Forgetting about Vidal :howler:

Oh no wait...just remembered he's gone...

I still am of the belief that he sees what is going on around him, and he thinks that the club is being built around him, and that he will be the marquee player, the centerpiece.

I feel that this will convince him to stay.
:agree:

I think that this should be how they convince him to stay on. Basically tell him that Tevez and Vidal are gone and there is a lot of void to fill. We will make you the center of our attack rather than just a wonderkid on the side that has flashes of brilliance here an there. In other words we tell him to be like Ronaldinho was to Barca, or Suarez and Bale were to liverpool and tottenham in their last seasons and how Hazard is now being pushed to the front of the stage by Mourinho. Grab all the attention towards himself. He should be taking the penalties too this season since our 3 penalty takers are gone.

This is indeed the next step in his development. If he can step up to the plate then even if he does move elsewhere in couple of years, he doesn't move as a very promising youngster but rather a fully established superstar. I'd give pogba the #10 and have him as the face of the team. This will generate a lot of money for us in merchandising terms and his selling price will rise even further.

Let's just hope we go very far in CL this season and a Scudetto, another double would be awesome, and we have Berardi back next season and Morata stays, and a very good marquee signing ready if he does decide to leave, I hope he stays a long time, Barca being fined for some racist thing would be awesome!! Messi getting jailed for beating his wife would also be fantastic, while Buffon lifting the 2016 Euros..

Yeah I think results will be important to keeping Pogba. The problem is that when you set the bar so high by almost winning the treble then not meeting that standard (albeit unrealistic) might disappoint a player like Pogba. If we were to lose the scudetto for example, I can see huge fallout from something like that.

Like Pogba said:"Besides, we are Juventus and we must always do well.”

I'd love if Morata and Pogba spend 10 years with us but if they'll both leave next year, we're going to be ok. Juventus is back to the Top and we know how to stay there.

Getting back to the present. Pogba should play with more freedom but in his current position. Marchisio and Khedira could cover and shield him. Still we need an more offensive midfielder, till now I think Pereyra is the only one could do this job done.

I don't think we have a realistic chance of convincing him to stay. I'd bet money this is his last season.
Exactly because of this we need to step up and try to convince him. Because lets be honestr... money alone will not do it. Barcelona, apart of money and fame..Barcelona can offer him the chance to play wih some of the best players in the world. Thats something we cant compete.

But, if we make him our main man, if we make him feel he is a major piece of pur puzzle, if we surrund him with champions that will follow his lead...then maybe he will think it harder when barcelona inevitably comes for him.

Pogba has always stricken me as a player whois eager to show, eager to go forward and to demonstrate his skill. IMO he is being contained as a DM....so, if this year we are accomodating Marchisio and Khedira to let pogba join the attack... then just make him go a step forward in the attack and let the DM support him.

Pogba is a real world talent...lets give freedom to him to express himself. Pogba said it...he wants to score the goals that will be missing from Vidal. Thats a clear message that he wants a more offensive role...so let them man show what he has got.

If he doesnt work..we can sor it out.... but if theres a player that has the talent to overcome things in this team.. its him!. Theres a reason why everyone in the world wants to buy him. he is a rare talent.

We did step up. A double and CL final is what I'd call 'step up'. We won't change our way of operating just to please Pogba because it wouldn't make sense. If he's not convinced with the way we operate he'll ask to be sold and we'll cash in on him. If he expresses his desire to continue and play here he could even get an extension with a pay rise. It'll be up to him to decide. We still have a long way to be able to sign 50m superstars so we'll continue to sign the likes of Draxler and Berardi - talented players but still needing polishing to become champions.
