I will tell you exactly what my reaction would be: If names were reversed and Marchisio was in the same situation and we could make 40m off of him to fund other important moves to make our team better I would have reacted the same way.
Now, there you have it.
For me, no player is personal (i.e. Rab with DP. Klin with Vidal, etc). Its all about running a business IMO. Some people stay some people gotta go.
What are you talking about? We sold Vidal because we are a small provincial failure club like Empoli and we hate foreign players. If he was Italian, we would have pushed to sell him for his true market worth of 100M. Fold the club, we have sold Vidal, we will never ever recover from this hammer blow.

What do you mean overboard? This is a disastrous blow, a strike of terror which will make Calciopoli look like a simple walk in the park. I cant believe we sold a really good player!

We used to have the best squad, but seeing roma, napoli, milan and inter move in the market, we are clearly fighting for EL next year. Vidal sigelhandidly took this pathetic squad to cl final and we sold him for a measly 36€. Hes value is clearly atleast 70£, seeing as sterling went for so much. Its a great example bc they are very comparable, as they are both football players.
No one would have said its a good isea to sell Zidane but now a select few would say we should hav kept Zidane for Thuram, Nedved and Buffon. We are the emtional fans. Lets butch and moan but in the end we better hope a key part of team is very influential on the field next year and thats our management. Equally as influential as a single player

For me its always Juventus >>>>>>>>>>> any player. As much as I love all of their contributions, the club trumps the individual.
