Instead of crying over Pogba's departure, our board should think of how we will can convince him to stay. And we can only do it by showing him a plan and that we want to compete with the best.

Pogba seems like a loyal guy. He has lived shit while being in MU, when he was not appreciated and not given playing time. At the same time he felt appreciated here by being given a lot of time. He is very thankful of that. And has mentioned this in a couple of occasions.

However, as every good player, he seems ambitious as well. You can't expect by everyone to pull a Gerrard and stay at a club although he has better chances to win elsewhere. Splash some money, make some deep runs in CL and he might want to stay here.

Raiola is not an issue. He is a manager, he wants money, he invited bids. The first thing to care about is Pogba's intentions. Neddy had Raiola as a manager as well and he never wanted to leave.

Pogba isnt nearly as loyal as Nedved, please..

Nedved shed tears when he had to leave Lazio. And he didnt want to leave in the first place.
I didn't say he is. I just said it as an example of a loyal player with a greedy manager.

In fact I said that we can't expect of every player to pull a Gerrard (or a Neddy). I just focused on Gerrard because he remained that remained in a team which for large periods was underachieving (as we are in Europe right now). Juve before the scandal Juve was really competitive actually.

100m? yes pls. He'll leave sooner or later, might as well sell him now while the iron is hot. Shit won't go much above 100m but a bad spell could easily see that price go down a lot.

with 100m we could make this team so much better.

hopefully Marotta gets nowhere close that money and that somebody else could spend them for us.

Let's not kid ourselves, he won't be sold for more than 60m.
Pogba is not a cam, doesnt nearly influence the game like zidane, doesnt nearly score as much as Bale.

He wont go over 60mil, wich he why he shouldnt go at all
:agree:

That's actually more worrying than selling Pogba.

100m! that's like 40 co-owns, 5 free transfers and 13 loans with buy out clauses. WE CAN COMPLETELY REJUVENATE THE TEAM AND THE DEPTH OF OUR SQUAD WILL CRUSH OUR ENEMIES

Yeeeeah, let's start thinking like Ajax. Sell, sell, sell. We all saw how good it worked for Arsenal in the past as well.
It's not up to us, it's time people realize that. A player who has everything to be one of the best in his generation like Pogba will one day wake up thinking he should be competing for the big title, the CL.

And we won't able to offer him that, judging by how our transfer deals work, anytime soon.

No player in the world is worth 100m, it is a ridiculous amount of money. But, as JCK, CrimsonianKing and Suns is saying, you need to spend that money well. Honestly, I do not see that happen with our current management. I am not saying our management is poor, but that I am really not convinced they would spend that money wisely. They will spend it in a way they believe is wise, but I do not think I will share their opinion on the road they've chosen.

We should be able to offer that in a few years. I am not saying buying everyone in one day like PSG or City do. But after 3 championships back to back, the next step should be Europe.

If it was only one thread, but seen the rest lately?

In any case Pogba will stay here for the time being, useless to speculate about his future at this point. Got a new, improved deal that'll make him one of the highest payed footballers in Europe. Club has been growing in stature for quite some time and with few good signings we'll compete with the very best out there. Right now we can make everyone's life difficult and I doubt that many clubs would be relishing a prospect of facing this team, full of champions.
