Maybe, maybe not. If we bring Nainggolan Marchisio might again have trouble to find his place in the first 11. In a team that aspires for CL glory Marchisio can only be a sub.

As for Pogba, he's starter now just like I and a few others expected and said some months ago. It would happen regardless of Marchisio's injury. He's better player and it's not even up for debate.
That was anomaly. Before and after that period he was just decent midfielder. lol one good string of form in his entire career.

Face it. That rarely happens. :)

Wow, blinded by the hatred, yeah? What about a team that aspires for European glory? Because Italy got pretty close with Claudio in the lineup.

Pogba is better than Marchisio, and will continue to be so - he is earning that starting position. But to continually shit all over a player of ours who has given so much to the club, and then to suggest that Nainggolan might be an improvement for our style of play, well jesus. You're way off there, bud. And in the words of... well I'm not quite sure who says this type of thing... but, it's not even up for debate. :p

I don't hate him. I hate insane overrating of him here but no I don't hate any of our players.

You are way too harsh on Marchisio, man. He's an excellent midfielder. Wonderful workrate, great at positioning and movement, very good passer of the ball and he will score you some goals over the course over a season. I've also always been very impressed with his link-up play. I'd start him over Nainggolan any time.

That isn't to say he's better than Pogba. Paul Pogba is put simply a phenomenon, a very very rare talent. But it's great to have both of them in the squad

And I agree with a post @JuveJay made yesterday. This is a potential 50+ game season. Both of them will see plenty of gametime.

There we go, Matri-Quag all over again.

Some people just need to bitch about someone and when the team is great they clutch to straws.

Pogba and Claudio are very good players and we are lucky to have both, which one is better? they are players that offer different things on the same position, in-form Marchisio is a better players for our teamplay right now imo, though Pogba has a higher ceiling and if he will reach it he will become a better player overall.

Why is that laughable? When Marchisio is on form he's a fantastic midfielder. There have been teams willing to pay 30 million euros for his services.

Pogba is an amazing midfielder even at 20, and he has some stuff in his repertoar that Marchisio wouldn't be able to pull off. This is true. But then again, they are not exactly similar types of midfielders either, are they?

Both offer tremendous strengths, to this team.

Who exactly? I've seen some rumors but are they credible? If an offer of that sort came he would be gone by now. He's not fantastic certainly but he's decent midfielder.

And yes they both will get enough playing time as I've said few weeks ago. He's good depth.

As for the laughing part the guy was clearly joking. He can't be serious. In form Marchisio that happens once in 5 years. We can expect another good run of his form somewhere in 2016.

And this is how they wanna cut out racism from the game..
That's just top notch.

Being World Class requires consistency; Marchisio is a solid player, but definitely not World Class. He is nowhere near as bad/horrible/invisible as some make him out to be, but he isn't some god on the pitch either like some members seem to think/believe.
Didn't we hear this already from you? Why do you always post the same shit here? Why did you even come back?

He's more than "decent" and "depth", and a vast majority of people who are interested in football and watch Serie-A is able to see that. Your opinions on Marchisio belong to a small minority, so it really doesn't make you look too good when you downright come out laughing at people who rate him highly. As if rating Marchisio highly is something that's shocking or stupid or way off the mark.

It's actually the opposite. Vast majority rate him as a decent midfielder.

That's not the impression I get when I hear people talk, listen to football-commentators on TV, browse articles and forums etc. but okay, whatever you say.

Well, I'm not saying it can't be debated or anything like that. But I just don't think rating Marchisio highly is something that warrants being laughed at. He has been an integral part of our scudetto winning squads. "Decent" and "depth" are descriptions and tags that fit players like Padoin and Peluso, not Marchisio.

Marchisio is and has been one of our truly 'key' players. There's no getting around that fact.

Marchisio IMO is an OK midfielder. He would be excellent, even WC, if he did something about his inconsistency.

But otherwise a good player when doing his thing.
