Might be some truth in that. I, however, think it was more due to his position. He's inclined to play it safe in the whole because being a pivot really isn't a 19 year old's job. Dynamic box-to-box is where it's at for him.

I think the problem with Pogba is this. When he replaced Pirlo, he played well. He was calm and composed, but he didn't have the type of Pirloesque passes that would tear apart the defense. Now that is fine, because he's not supposed to. But when he replaced Vidal, you would feel that there is a lack of a defensive presence. I'm not sure exactly how Conte plans to use him and in place of who, but it will certainly make a difference in the dynamics of the team no matter where is deployed.

In any case, I think he is a fantastic player and I can't wait to see more of him.
