You wouldn't represent either Canada or Somalia as opposed to nothing? Just curious.
If Somalia had a team I'd represent Somalia, if not Canada. However my situation isn't the same as Pogba's, Canada hasn't colonised Somalia.

As for Islam in Africa, the spread of Islam has started on the Horn of Africa, then worked it's way up north, and down the coast line, with the Zanzibar Islands etc. Africans embraced Islam way before the masses in the Middle East, the first converts of Islam outside of the ones close to Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) and in Mecca, were the Africans. The first Muslims seeked refuge in Ethiopia, the Arabs sent mercenaries after them, the Ethiopian king shielded the Quran. Basically, if it weren't for that Islam would have probably never spread.

The slave trade also, started with the Muslims, it was ok to enslave the ones that did not embrace the faith, and after the fall of Sudan, Islam just went hard and spread super fast, many converted due to political reasons to save themselves.

Several centuries later, the Europeans came along, with the vast majority of the African kingdoms on one knee, and slavery was a real market, so they went on and dealt the finishing blow which was the transatlantic slave trade, which was very pale in comparison of the trans-saharan slave trade.

I see your point now.

Oh and how slavery was introduced, was directly linked with the fall of Sudan. After Sudan fell, the Sudanese wanted to surrender, however the Arabs wouldn't have it, they imposed a tax, that every year the kingdom of Sudan would give away X number of slaves, and that number increased with time, which basically never allowed Sudan to heal, this deal was known as the Bakht.

This practice continued throughout the Muslim world, the Ottoman Empire used to employ the same strategy.

We should all be playing for Ethiopia then, because 70 000 years ago all our ancestors lived there. Don't let nationalism fool ya, we are all brothers and sisters.

True. Anyways, that's Pogba's personal choice, I have no say in it, and can't do nothing but respect his choice. I just said what I thought about it. Personally I'd never represent any European country for anything.

In a way, I want him to leave this club. Juventus don't deserve him. Italy doesn't deserve him. And another thing, I am thoroughly disapointed in his choice to play for France, and not Guinee which his two brothers chose to represent, can't do much but respect his choice, but I wish no harm for his international career, but no trophies, I want him to be a Ribery.
You are so full of shit every once in a while

Interesting. I didn't know Africa was predominantly Muslim that far south.

Guinea is approximately 85 percent Muslim

Slavery of the pre-modern world compared to the Colonial slave trade is like comparing apples with helmets. Using the same term for both doesn't even make sense.

Anyways, move on, back on topic!

Main thing is... Will he be available on Wednesday!!!

Bro - one step at a time, we have to get through Wednesday first!
True, but are there any updates after the initial report that he'll be out for 50 days and back around May 7th?

Since the semifinals are played on May 5/6 and 12/13, according to the initial news he should be back on time for the return leg, and maybe even the first leg, if Juve make it to the semis.

No, it's the same thing. Religion used as an entrance, then the acquisition and merchandising of people (large scale, and migrating the people from large distances) for economic gains.

You are so full of shit every once in a while
True.
