That doesn't mean shit. Pirlo is past his prime and Marchisio hasn't been his best for years. Of course he'd be the best after Vidal.

Still, we need that money to strengthen our squad. He's absolutely NOT worth keeping when our team cries for better players at different positions, to try a different system. He's GOT to be sold.
We must keep him, biggest talent in the world !
I would rather keep Pogba and buy none , than sell him and buy 1/2 good players !

Selling a young top player for loads of cash would be good if we were in an emergency or if a player forces our hand.

We are not in an emergency. We should probably achieve our targets with what we have and some minor additions would put us in an even better position to do so.
We have a good strike force, a world class midfield and a world class defense. We just lack proper substitutes in some positions and starting players if we are going to completely change our formation and maintain our level of success. If we capture Candreva, Lulic and another tevez level striker for example we will be more than fine to have a strong starting eleven playing the 3-5-2 and a very decent mid-game 4-3-3 plan B. This should be more than enough to win Serie A and qualify past the group stage in the CL.

In a few years the club should be much wealthier financially at our current pace and our season objectives and transfer budget will adapt accordingly. Some patience will see us become rich and compete for higher honors as long as we maintain our current pace. I'd rather wait till we are rich and can have a smooth transition to another squad of multiple world class players than sell pogba and do a radical transformation of the squad. Selling Pogba will make us rich for one transfer season but it wont make us a consistently wealthy financial powerhorse and may even disturb our current growth rate.

Pogba should be dropped. Today again showed his immaturity when it comes to making the simplest of passes. He tired alot of outside of the boot passes and crosses and none came off. A goal is a goal but it doesn't change his preformance.
:facepalm2: okay drop Pogba and play who? Lots of Tuz rather not playing Pogba - okay he is very good but not perform stellar like we expected EVERY matches by Marchisio - he sucks but we don't expect him to do anything so its okay. Right ?

And if sell him, maybe other stars in Europe will think twice about joining a team that wants to sell their better players especially young talent like Pogba. Unless he wants to leave himself, then obviously we should knock back the big offers.

In terms of him taking risks, doing things that maybe a player a 6 or 7 years older wouldn't do in games only shows that he still has areas to improve in his game...imagine when he is the complete article?

I would hate to look back in 3 or 4 years and say, "wow, we had the best player in the world and gave him away for big money and we didn't achieve anything from it".

The other side to it all is that with players like Pogba and Vidal, it allows you to change the formation and tactics so much.

The only aspect to it all that scares meis the fact that we got Pogba for free and others are offering 70 million for him. From a business perspective, the hierarchy may look at that and say "we need to cash in on this kid while these teams are offering the big cash".

it is getting really boring when half of this thread is speculating about selling or not selling pogba. why can't we just focus on what's happening now and talk about his performance if I wanted to read all these things I would've read Tuttosport or something.

I did not like Pogba's performance tonight. I think sometimes it is just his style of playing that's a bit fancy, rather than his mentality of seemingly taking things lightly, but that can sometimes cost us. If that's the case where needed Pogba needs to learn how to make simple passes as he can lose possession unnecessarily.

I still can't believe this guy is 20 years old... the things he does sometimes are magical.. Like for instance when he played the ball through 2 players and got a pass to pirlo (while being fouled)... even the commentator was fapping over Pogba his skills

Verratti can QUITE EASILY play an advanced position. He is a very mobile midfielder and can play anywhere across the midfield.

I remember when Alen said we have a lot of runners in this team and not many creative players. He's dead right,we need more creative geniuses in this team if we are to be successful in Europe.

If in this case,if we are getting cash and Verratti in return, not only we'll have a CM who'll be world class in the future but we'd also be set with him for a decade as he's going to be loyal to us.It really wouldnt be that bad of a deal imo.But again as i said, keeping Pogba is priority here.
Veratti would herniate 3 lumbar disks attempting to carry Pogba's used Jockstrap.

When I meant drop, I meant a game or two. Just like how Conte dropped him aganist Chievo. He sometimes plays too nonchalantly and shows his immaturity. Of Course he should play, but if he is going to put in performances like yesterday then Marchisio could do likewise.

You still don't understand my point. Yesterday Pogba had to play along side Marchisio - a liability who can not tackle, pass the ball or shoot - yet he managed to have 1 goal which is already an immense contribution already. Dropping a better player for an inferior one does not make any sense and remember our strongest midfield lineup should be Vidal- Pirlo - Pogba so when Marchisio is allowed to play, the quality drop is unavoidable.

Vidal can't play every match.. and neither can Pogba, Pirlo and Marchisio... we have to rotate our midfield because we play a match every 3 days

Bro, you should just get a Marchisio tattoo and be done with it.

I know. Thats why Marchisio and Padoin can play some game, but i will never judge Pogba when he has to play along side with a mediocre player like Marchisio

If it is possible, i don't want to hear/see/watch his name anywhere
