I didn't make that shit up. However, this campaign to support Marchisio at all costs is beyond pathetic.

7 years older? Fact. Biased fans calling him World Class? Fact. Less than impressive in multiple outings over the past few months? Fact.

Time for you to take your head out of your ass and maintain a semblance of objectivity.

Still don't think selling him is the right thing to do at this point in time. Maybe next season if we could replace him with an AM like David Silva, Ozil, Kagawa etc. That's if he had another more quiet season like 12-13. If he had a season like 11-12 then I would keep.

Pogba offer nowhere near the defensive work load of Claudio. You're like a raven, attracted to shiny things and disregarding their other qualities.

Yes sir :D

However, I am not arguing that point. My fear is that Pogba will eventually seek new challenges. Let's hope it isn't anytime soon though, and not before he has led us to 1 or 2 CL crowns :D
If we somehow manage to separate him from Raiola he'll stay for a long time here.

I never denied that. Reread my post again, and try to understand what I am saying. I am not even one of those pushing for his sale, unless it's an offer the club can't refuse (and even then, as it always is, it is up to the power brokers to decide). However, his fanboys take bias to a whole new dimension.

I am not only attached to shiny things. I respect Chiello, Barza, and Licht, and they are can hardly be considered examples of shiny things. I always loved hard working players like Torricelli, Di Livio, and Davids, so I don't know where ur coming from with this BS. Just because I prefer the more glamorous, creative players who have an element of fantasy to their game doesn't mean in any way, shape, or form that I undermine the hardworking players and what they bring to the table.

What workrate seriously? Marchisio just fuking dissapears!. Theres no workrate, flair o whatever u wanna cal it if you cannot even be seen on the field.

Im against selling marchisio (well if selling him is the difference between a WC striker or not having one... sadly theres just no choice)...... BUT im all for giving him the good ol bench treatment if this trends continues.

We cannot just keep benching Pogba when marchisio refuses to play.

He runs a lot without a ball, closes space not something most would notice. But he doesn't contribute enough to be considered automatic starter imo. Some of his deficiencies are masked with occasional goal or assist. He can connect well at times in final third, good sense of space. But also he can be closed down far too easily which makes him look invisible. He lacks strength, speed, has solid technique, decent tackler but nothing more.

I'm pretty confident Pogba will be a starter next year.

The main problem I see with Marchisio is that when he is short of peak fitness he stops running, and that affects him a lot because that facilitates the best work he does (box to box, link work, covering, breaking from midfield).

Right now he's not in good shape. Also I know he had some health problems at the end of the season. I expect you'll see a slow start from him next season, then he'll kick on again in Oct/Nov and the counter 'told you so' stuff.

IMO his problem is mental. He needs to get more involved in plays when things are not going his way. He needs to be fierce against midfield opposition. He tends to led pass too many plays around him. He doesnt free himself to be available for a pass as much as he needs to.

but above all...he needs to be involved more in the game.
