Throughout the years I never understood the tuzzers' butthurt about Pogba's vacation comments
vacation = something good = time of your life = you want to do it repeatedly
no vacation = something bad = shitty or average time = you want to get away from it
So clearly he was praising us, indicating he is forced to move to ManU against his will and would love a return?

Easy peasy.
3 year loan with obligation to buy & a 5 year contract. Hint: It's not actually a loan. It's just a cheap way to get around FFP.
Let's assume we pay him 9.0M net (18.0 gross). Let's assume a high price of 150.0M to illustrate.
We would sign him on loan for 3 years for 60M, with cash payable now, with an obligation to buy in 3 years with 90M payable up front in 3 years.

This essentially turns an 150M transfer with a 9M annual salary (144M gross over 8 years) into 8 annual charges - 3 annual rental fees of 20M for the first 3 years, and a depreciation expense of 18M per year for years 4,5,6,7,8. + his salary.

Cash Flow
Year:
1: -60.0M - 18.0M
2: -0 - 18.0M
3: -0 - 18.0M
4: -90.0M + 18.0M
5: -0 - 18.0M
6: -0 - 18.0M
7: -0 - 18.0M
8: -0 - 18.0M

FFP Impact:
1: -20M - 18M =38M
2: -20M - 18M = 38M
3: -20M - 18M = 38M
4: -18M - 18M =36M
5: -18M - 18M = 36M
6: -18M - 18M = 36M
7: -18M - 18M = 36M
8: -18M - 18M = 36M

3 year loan

Yeah, United are that stupid
It's not really a loan. It's a purchase disguised as a loan with an obligation to buy - like Cuadrado's. It's a way to get around the 5 year contract term limit. It's financial engineering, not a true loan.

Essentially accounting rules spread the fee over the term of the contract, buy its capped at 5, so you can't spread it over 8. This just allows you to do that.
20 per year essentially depreciates Pogba to 0 accounting value, and then the fee for 90M is a pure capital gain for United. You'd need to likely pay a bit more, or structure the cash flow in a favourable way for United, but it isn't really a loan.

Granted you'd probably need to do something to entice them to play your FFP circumventing game. Give them 0 cost Khedira as a throw in. No FFP loss on our end, except for saved wages.

Whatever you say bro. Pogba is no scrub to MU, they wouldn't agree to something like that for sure.
