Pogba might very well be more talented than Verratti, but Verratti is a wonderful talent. The distinction is not so clear. Some might prefer Pogba, whereas others might choose Verratti. They are both going to be great players for many years to come. Unfortunately, never with us.
Both talented players for sure, but it depends on what you want in your midfielder. Pogba is more of an all rounder, whereas Verratti just keeps it simple and is effective in his game.

Pogba is more complete, but Verratti is better at several aspect.

Pogba is a decisive addition when your midfield works, and an expensive bystander when it doesnt
Verratti significantly boosts the midfield regardless of who's in it

:lol2: Have you watched Pogba these past 4 seasons for Juve? Verratti might be better as a dm [regista] but that's it.
yes, i have watched Pogbarf and your line of logic is flawed.

first you say pogba is way more talented than verratti which is debatable but if you factor in all things you will see that verratti is probably more skilled than pogba.
take pogbas physicality away from him and he is just a dude who does step overs and without his physicality his shot power would be lacking as well (it's not like he has the best accuracy while shooting which is evident when he tries to shoot free kicks and ends up doing goal kicks into the stands).

verratti achieves at least the same if not more with a inferiour body and that makes him more skillful. if you basically achieve things against the odds (meaning you are at a physical disadvantage) then you are truely skillful. shoving people away because you are two feet taller is not really a skill.

then you paddle back and so "ok, verratti is just a little better than insigne", which is odd because apart from both being small and skillful there is no point in comparing those two because they play vastly different positions on the pitch.

now you paddle back and admit that verratti is a better regista. just because you only see verratti play as regista and notice that he is probably better there than pogba (because you kind of saw pogba do something like that for france) your fanboy cognitive dissonance tells you "but but but  he must be worse than my loved hypeboy in every other position". There is no indicator that somebody with very good skills in keeping the ball under pressure and a very good passing range and accuracy would have problems to play somewhere else on the pitch (in midfield).

you know what they say in amateur football ? "put useless guys more to the attack positions, because if they fuck up it does not cause an instant goal for the opponent". while pogba is not useless, there is a reason why we did not play him in front of the defence, because he is not reliable. you can not have somebody starting to dribble centrally in front of your defense, lose the ball and give the opponent easy chances to score. that is the reason marchisio plays that role for us and verratti plays that role for psg. the role is just much more powerful in terms of making your team click better and actually making your team play football (no, doing stepovers and then shooting at goal is not football, passing the ball is football).

while pogba would definitely be a better central striker than verratti, this does not say anything about skill, but only that centre forwards need more physique than skill (andy carroll anybody ?).

pretty much every other position in the midfield verratti would probably solve smarter (not flashier) than pogba. instead of 5 step overs he would probably just play a one-two with the CF and then score. you know, that is actually called football ... playing with team mates and not getting the ball by chance and volleying it into goal from distance. you can see thousands of youtube videos of non professional football kids doing mad volleys and shots, because that is a "solo skill" while playing football is not a solo skill but a team game.

Can you shorten your post, please? I'm not reading that. :D

Honestly I don't get the butt hurt from people here. Yes it sucks he left us for a club in the EL but Pogba was always a player obsessed with his image and popularity.

I never got attached to him because I couldn't see him staying here for such a long time mainly because of his agent always saying "Pogba is worth 100 million"

This is the same agent who screwed us with Ibra when he was considering staying when he arrived at the pre season training camp in 2006.

Good riddance to Pogba, it was nice having him here but the club has already moved on from him.

It's been ongoing for quite some time.
I think some of the posts are pretty fair.

Not the Pjanic > Pogba posts of course but Juventus fans over the years have overrated him too much.

He still has some way to go before being put on the level of some legendary midfielders. It was laughable to read some of the posts last season really. And he is not the best CM right now. I would've said this even last year but I would've got bashed for saying that.

As of now , it's an absolute fact that he can't carry a midfield. He thrives best in an already well functioning midfield not when he's asked to be the leader of the pack. We've seen this both with France and Juventus. It's fanboyism to disagree about this.

Pogba is complete but he's still developing.

It would be the same when Dybala leaves us :snoop:
Dybala has shown he can be a leader already just like Vidal. It would hurt to lose him, not Pogba. It's not hurting losing him at all.
