Pogba: 'That goal was crazy!'
By Football Italia staff

Paul Pogba could not disguise his joy at scoring a splendid Serie A brace in the 4-0 victory over Udinese. “The first goal was crazy just thinking about it!”

The 19-year-old arrived in the summer as a free agent after his contract with Manchester United expired.

“The first goal was crazy just thinking about it!” smiled the French midfielder.

“I am very happy with the brace, but I mustn’t think about it now. We must focus on continuing to work and picking up points.

“Will I go back on the bench? That doesn’t worry me, as whoever deserves it and is in the best shape will play. The Coach will make the right decision, as he always does. Conte always says he wants me to be more determined.

“Am I more like Frank Rijkaard or Patrick Vieira? Neither. I am Paul and I just want to get better.

“Why did Sir Alex Ferguson let me leave Manchester United? You’d have to ask him that, I don’t know anything.”

He has brains his agent can only dream about

I think being in Italy and having Conte as a coach is the best thing that could happen to his career. His tactical awareness will improve in Italy instead of the dumb PL and Mister will make him a better player, the playing time and trust he gets from Mister as a youngster is nice to see.

In addition to that, it absolutely floors Hustini's argument that Conte won't show trust in youngsters. If you're good enough you get time.

Marrone should get co-owned with Parma in the summer. He has the talent to play as a holder, he just needs to play in a weekly basis to improve himself.

More mature than older players and he has a bazooka.

Ferguson in 2011: Paul Pogba has attracted the attention of Juventus but Ferguson is unlikely to send his 18-year-old French midfielder out on loan. He is wary of comparisons with Patrick Vieira. "They are the same height. But you have to remind yourself what Vieira was doing at 18 – playing centre-half for Cannes.''

That's cold, I think he could be a rotation player for Juventus at the age of 26-27. He just needs constructive playing time
Pogba is meant for that holding role, which is the only one Maronne can play to some satisfying extent. So yeah, in s few years he can be our backup player to pogba, the 19 year old who can most likely play every week.

Transfermarkt has him listed at 8M.
Sounds reasonable, for now. Youngster, not officially a first choice option for the midfield, not had a long string of games under his belt etc.

But I expect his worth to have at least doubled within the space of a year from now.

He must be worth something. ManU once signed a 12 year old for 1m.

We can only hope that Conte also teaches him how to lose the hair :snoop:

He played like a boss yesterday. He's very strong, barely loses possession. He's very good in the air so most high played balls were collected by him. Also he's very calm with the ball and has an incredible shot. The first one made me  really. The second one was also great, 2-0 lead let us play more calmly. It's very good we have a player like him, because sometimes the only way to break through is to shoot from distance.

He's very different to Pirlo, but so much quality in this guy that nobody felt like we were missing something in midfield yesterday. Now we know he can play at any position in the midfield 3. The epitome of a modern midfielder :D

Pirlo is not so young anymore. Last season we played only Serie A and Coppa so he could make it. This season he played Euro and we have more matches to play, so I'm not worried about Pogba's playing time. Perhaps Conte will rotate Pirlo more now, because a performance like this vs Udinese means Pogba is special. It'll help Pirlo to play better and Pogba gain experience and make himself fully a first team player.

Milan have SES, we have Pogba :delpiero:
