You are right about the market, but even in this market we got Pjanic for 32 and Benatia for 20 and Alves for 0. I'm sure we'll keep looking for good deals only. I don't think we are going to buy Higuain even if we sell Pogba.
Yeh I agree with you, we made some shrewd investments with those players, and I hope we'll be able to do that again. I just think clubs will raise their prices if/when this Pogba deal goes through.

Worst thing about all this is the fact this proves without a shadow of a doubt, Serie A is absolutely no longer attractive and we, no matter what success we achieve, are no longer a top player destination. Best we can hope is buying these gems like Pogba, Dybala, etc. and making a huge profit on them to the big boys.

As for Pogba going back to Man U...I'm disappointed in him if that happens, Real, Barca, OK, but this is just a money-based decision. For Juve, in the end we trolled Man U so hard, they are basically donating 100m to us. Cheers. We'll be OK.

Everton is offering 55mil for a $#@!ing Koulibaly who is on 800.000 eur salary at Napoli. We are in big problem.
EPL inflation is here. For non-EPL clubs, they should really begin to think about forming a European Super League. Right now Real Madrid is fine, but in 10 years? If things continue as they are, they will begin to struggle buying players.

Except that the big boys are going to EPL now or Barca-Real.

The EPL money is killing it.

But you think it's a good business selling Pogba for 120 and buying Higauin for 90?
Far from ideal but in the context of the market and how much players cost these days, it may be the best we can do. We get a world class striker for the next 4-5 seasons, and we still have some money left for a shrewd midfield signing.

I agree, its not what we pictured. But if players like Gomes cost 65 these days and a fairly unproven talent like Batshayi costs 40....

selling pogba sends a bad message for juventini and for calcio fans, too. we can have top players from italy, but if we cannot hold on to pogba, then it's just a worthless domination of an already shitty league.

Yeah. See our transfers over the past 3-4 years (Coman, Pogba, Tevez, Vidal, Dybala etc.). It's always us buying top talents or washed up stars. I think our staff realized that too. We're not a club that's going to sign proven WC players for many years to come IMO.

But hey, at least we're doing that job amazingly well so far, so kudos to Marotta.

Inter sold Zlatan and won the CL, beating Zlatan's new club in the process.

Pogba is just one player, we can replace him. We're not like Real, who are a one man team right now.
