JSV fled Lazio because of the passport scandal. He never wanted to come to Manchester and 6 months after signing with us he was in Rome bitching of how ugly Manchester is and how these neanderthals expect registas to tackle.

SAF brought JSV because he underrated Paul Scholes as a CM and the ginger prince showed him how wrong he was in doing that. As I said in numerous occasions, PS was the best AMC in his era. Surely the likes of Zidane were more talented. However no one was as consistently good as PS

Hopefully Evra pushes him back in our direction.

Not sure about pogba, seems to have an 'artistic' temperament. Lot of money being touted and I think that we're probably being used to get him a big deal at Madrid. One thing, I was at the Ireland game and was impressed seeing him in the flesh for the first time, he had no problems with the physical stuff and was handing out some bruising stuff. He's def premier league ready, it's just a question of whether he'd fit in the team. I think matuidi would be a better signing

The last two players who went for a world record fee both moved at the age of 24, one is in his 9th year at the club and the other is also likely to spend his peak years playing there. Point is, Pogba's next move means he spends substantial amount of his peak years at the club he chooses. Choice when it comes to transfer is basically between us and Real Madrid. Comparing profile of both clubs there is only one winner here and it should be no surprise Pogba prefers a move there.

For some reason, Madrid aren't ready to fork out the required fee (yet). Pogba has to play the waiting game but he has to decide how long is he willing to do that? Post Euros? Maybe another year at Juventus even? In hope they come in and pay what's required next year. Or he could decide to devote his peak years in Manchester and make the switch now. Only way I could see us pulling this off is 1) Pogba must want to leave, staying at Juventus isn't an option for him anymore and 2) Madrid bow out of the race.

I'm not trying to belittle this club at all, i think Man Utd have the biggest fanbase of all clubs, it's a major club.

We have a chance if Real Madrid decides not to cough up the money. In that case Pogba could decide to come here and get a nice wage bump while being part of a great new team with a winning manager. I definitely think we have a chance, but it still depends on what Madrid does.

You make it sound like we're Swansea or something. Enough of this masochistic nonsense. We're top 3 of the biggest and richest clubs in the world just about every year, and there's absolutely nothing "deluded" about thinking a player might prefer us over Real or Barca - especially one who has lived in Manchester before and spoken highly of it.

Of course not and I hope we wont pay that kind of money for him. I personally do not believe that he will be so brilliant for us that he can bring us to the next level. He's more of a player that will evolve in a well functioning team that performs already

Ah, the Arsenal fan has a laugh at that, of course. We may not be close on the field (to Barca and Real), but we are very close off it. The romance is still here: players dream of playing for United, Barca, Bayern and Real. While I won't deny that the latter three clubs have the biggest lure, to suggest that it's laughable that a player would choose United over the aforementioned clubs is misguided, and screams of bitterness when it comes from an Arsenal fan.

6 is usually the deepest midfielder (more or less the defensive one) and an 8 is the one with a free role (box2box)

Must say though, that United need several players to be able to compete for the title, and spending so much on one player might not be the best idea, since it would harm them in other areas. Pogba is, already, better than each and every one of the midfielders they currently own.

Pogba is three times better than any player they had last season and would instantly be the best midfielder in their league. With him they'd have a very good change of challenging for the title, sadly for them Poggers is going nowhere this summer (maybe Ibiza but that's it).

This was a turning point for Munich imo. We need to pull a Ribery and tell Pogs to fuck off when he wants to leave. Do what we've done to Camo and Trez, but I'm afraid Beppe is too soft unfortunately.
