If that's the case he's in for a surprise when everybody labels him a flop. He better find a way to get fired up no matter if it's against a provincial team or one of the world's best.

In fact, great players by naturally being a talent above everybody else usually destroy minions without too much effort, he obviously is nowhere close to this. Not consistently anyway.

A tur world class would tore this feeders on the long run... at least a goal or 2 fromt ime to time... or 2 killer assists.

Like you said, theres no need to sugarcoat it...he is flopping a little as of late

I love Pogba. I do. But damn when you compare what Verratti can do to what Pogba has done the last couple years but isn't anymore as consistently, its frustrating.

Yea. Some truth in that too. He's not fired up enough for games like this one where he's started believing that we just need to show up to win. And when he's trying the things he does, you can see he genuinely thinks he can pull those moves off. Hopefully he sees the replays so he knows how to read games better when the ball is at his feet.
rubbish and let me tell you why. you can see how angry/frustrated he gets when he loses the ball. he kicks himself often for making mistakes. but damn, its the same fucking mistakes over and over again

It doesn't mean much tbh. Young CR in MU times when he was considered by many no more than talented circus pony was frustrated all the time and he had handful of such 'atalanta games' – useless dribbling, losing a ball in a easy situation etc. It's not that Pogs is not motivated enough, he just doesn't respect opponents and when you enter the game with such mindset it's really hard to change it during the game. He will grow from it. And people who saying he is a flop are nuts. This dude right here is a franchise player, first one since Buffon arrived.

There's already a Suligod thread I think. Pretty sure Rab banned me from it though.

And Dru has too many posts that would need to go in his greatest hits (I'd imagine about 15 posts). It would need to be somebody who's well known enough for it to be funny to everybody, but who isn't actually that funny overall. @zizinho or @JuveJay would be ideal :D
omg

He's really irritating to watch in some games, and you can see after about 15 minutes or so which games they are going to be. Usually they are the ones where he has so much time on the ball.

That thing he does where he basically stops dead and tries to fend two players off with his strength, too often now he just loses possession in an open area. By now you would have thought he would learn when to release the ball, because sometimes you can do a little trick and it looks amazing, but that's like 2 out 10 times now.

There's no doubting that he's a super talent but it's one thing being it and another being a consistently top player. He hasn't had as many top games as he should have. I think one problem is that he is taking on too much creative responsibility without having the maturity or maybe decision making to know how to handle it.
I would even say in most games. Season is slowly coming to an end and we're still waiting for him to establish his form.

You always thought wrong though :)
Never impacted the game as 100mil player, he's too inconsistent. Showing flashes of brillance in some games doesn't mean he's worth 100mil. He's not some unknown young player anymore, he's 23 with 4 seasons under his belt, he should be dominating this league and proving his worth in europe. Something he failed to do.

He isn't worth 100m based on his footballing skills, but what he brings off the pitch is worth alot more and that's why mgt won't sell that kind of player, one that attracts crowd to the stands and new batch of fans/followers.

:
:agree: Verratti has been the more consistent player, and showed his worth in the CL, dominating games and teams like Barca and Chelsea.

Best way to sum up Pogba.

We all should be talking about it more but to be honest, most of us aren't/don't want to because that would mean we need to come to the realization that he might not be what we all thought he would be. Now, maybe a better CM next to him and Marchisio we might see his previous season's performances but if we don't conclude that this has been a poor season from Pogba then we are in denial.

Honestly, never thought I'd say this, but I'm thinking maybe its time to accept that 100m offer now and put that money to good use.

Pogba/Verratti swap would be nice

And the way he takes his PK's now. :sergio:
