Juve monitor De Ceglie progress

Reports in the peninsula suggest that Juventus are ready to fight Siena for full ownership of young midfielder Paolo De Ceglie this summer.

The Under-21 international – who is currently co-owned by Juve and Siena – has impressed at the Montepaschi Arena this term and could be the subject of a summer tug-of-war.

According to Tuttosport, the Old Lady’s sporting director Alessio Secco is ready to discuss the Aostan starlet’s future with his Siena counterpart Manuel Gerolin in the near future.

It is reported that Gerolin will demand around £2.7m to release De Ceglie, but that fee could increase if he continues to perform at a high level.

A number of other sides, including Milan, are believed to be considering entering the fray, but the close relationship between Juve and Siena makes any other destination unlikely.

There is also a hypothesis that De Ceglie is being brought back to Turin to be used as a bargaining tool in Juve’s expected summer bid for Palermo striking star Amauri.

He`s another one to suffer from our ridiculous talent spotting abilities, what has molinaro added that de ceglie wasnt deemed fit to ??? If anything it shud`ve been Molinaro playing for siena and de ceglie still with us.
Some of the descisions made by Succo and the board this year is simply shocking...Imagine...buying just one of almiron/tiago and keeping marchisio, and keeping de ceglie instead to molinaro, cristico instead of stendardo/birindelli, Instead of spending 7-9 mill on a defender with known injury history (andrade) splashing out a bit more and getting someone younger, fitter.

Come to think of it with all the money saved with the above deals we cud`ve easily gone after one truly WC player this year.

You know ive been thinking why do why need any midfield signings? just get de ceglie, marchisio, and giovinco back and we will have a killer midfield.

:agree: Look at all the money we'd've saved! ~I believe they would have played their socks off for Juve, whereas we have had half hearted efforts by people on whom we've wasted money.

Bringing him back just to send him to Palermo to get Amauri could simply be the most stupid thing a club can do.
