Quag is already part of the system, has gotten used to working under Conte the way he expects his strikers to, and has scored pretty consistently despite not much game time. Osvaldo wont do any better on the pitch given such little game time, and not will he do better off it, with his attitude. The company and the GM need to chase targets that will be a massive upgrade instead of wasting time buying players they're going to want to sell every second year. Osvaldo fits that profile currently, and between our current strike force, adding him is not going to make us any better or worse than we are as things stand.
True Quags is already integrated but he has obviously messed up by insulting Alessio a few months back. Which leads me to think we'll try to offload him anyhow.

Maybe Osvaldo won't do any better but that's just speculation. Seeing as he's the more gifted player (also over Matri) he'd form an upgrade.

Wasting time is not an arguement when we have over 4 months left before the 31st of August....

No better guys exist, my mom has been telling me that for 20 years.
That explains everything. :D

We had three mercatos(6 if we include jan) and 4 months in each of them but couldn't sign a quality striker. It's important not to waste time chasing and making deals that don't matter in the long run. The bigger deals take longer to close and Marrotta should use time and resources just for those IMO.

Yes it takes longer. Obviously I agree. But things have competely changed since last year and we have 4 months left. Closing a deal for for instance Sanchez could even be done before July if he's actually our top priority.

Many problems in the last few years came from the fact we didn't have a clear & realistic target imo. We waited what the market had to offer. We shouldn't make the same mistake again.

All I'm saying is Osvaldo could be an opportunity for a small upgrade. If we don't have enough resources or anyone (Conte) doesn't want him, I couldn't care less. Thing is we shouldn't overreact and as Marotta likes to change more than needed, is see this as a genuine possibility.

Amauri was twice the player Osvaldo is when we signed him.

Everything about this fucking turd is annoying. I hope someone sets him on fire and he misses three consecutive seasons, waking up from his coma 3 years later only to realize his career is over.
This is the greatest thing i have ever read
