Yeah mainly due to wasting money and time with deals such as this one. Osvaldo could be good if we came back to 4-3-3 but it's a risk we shouldn't take right now. Quality not quantity this time please.

Of course he's not a necessity, but if the deal can be made fast, why not ? It would take time to sell Quags anyway & he has about the same ego.
In a cash only deal we shouldn't even think about it.
take time to sell quags? he isn't short of suitors especially from English and German clubs, seriously you would make a terrible GM

We're better without him.
After all it's interesting and... true. Berbatov was out target because he could us reach our goals in short time (season or two). With good performance in CL and propably winning Serie A, we managed to reach our goals for this season without quite old striker. Bendtner was cheaper, we did our job and we have place for a new striker - it's better.

You think Quags wants to move to a small team in England or Germany ? Think again...

Maybe, just maybe Wolfsburg as they've been trackin him for a long time, but he always stated he wanted to stay and I can't see him leaving Italy without any fuzz.

how is roma any more of a proposition than the other options? they probably won't even match his wage demands compared to a German or English side

Quag is already part of the system, has gotten used to working under Conte the way he expects his strikers to, and has scored pretty consistently despite not much game time. Osvaldo wont do any better on the pitch given such little game time, and not will he do better off it, with his attitude. The company and the GM need to chase targets that will be a massive upgrade instead of wasting time buying players they're going to want to sell every second year. Osvaldo fits that profile currently, and between our current strike force, adding him is not going to make us any better or worse than we are as things stand.
