If we'd drop the Scudetto now, irrelevant if we buy Osvaldo or not, it would be our own fault. No other way around it, but it would need a VERY BIG FUCK UP for us to lose it now. Let's be real here.

Again, not questioning the player's ability here. Just the need of another bench forward who is not exactly cheap.
At the moment if Llorente or Tevez pick up a big injury, would you be confident we'll win Scudetto with 6 points lead?

I'd be disappointed if we didn't manage to increase that lead to 10 points by June. We'd only have ourselves to blame.

matris transfer to milan for 12 mil is top 5 worst transfers in milans history, to use that as benchmark is even worse
We signed Matri for 18mln.

Like I said, Osvaldo has been scoring quite a few goals in every club he went, he holds his price ever since during his time in Spain.

Quag is worth around 8mln, and you think Osvaldo should be worth as much? Sanabria was paid 5mln and he showed nothing so far. It's like you're the opposite side of realism now. You see how many goals he scored, I have no idea where that logic comes from.

So you'd actually expect Quag and Giovinco to score goals?

And I would blame ourselves, but for having such bad players on the bench.

the team functions better off without him, and besides jay rodriguez and adam lallana are pretty decent players for them, not forgetting rickie lambert who unfortunately to say has been off the radar since this turd arrived at southampton
They are a midtable team.

That is all I'm saying.

we bought a younger player who was on fire and starting for his team in winter when we were desperate for a starting forward. Osvaldo doesnt start, causes problems in the locker room, and we dont even need him, and we are to pay the same price southampton paid for him :howler: wheres your logic??

Context, Dusan.

We NEEDED Matri at that point because of Quag's injury. We only had Del Piero and Amauri without him, if we're not counting Iaquinta (lol). Add to that the fact we were buying in January from another Serie A team who knew we were desperate and we were fighting for a place in Europe. €18M will start to make a bit more sense now.

€15M for Osvaldo now is not comparable at all. We're in a total different situation than we were back then.

He has 3 goals on 9 matches. He did punch that guy in the face, but would that cause his price to drop for half? lol
