Is this the new fashion of the spring? Jumping on the bashing bandwagon, over and over again with no good arguments other than "X sucks" and "Y owns X" etc. I'm with pecker on this one. Questioning Italy's perhaps largest sports paper with your own doubtful opinion as a basis only reflects your incomprehension of football and everything else in this world.

Don't put words in my mouth Seb, I believe that :

tactically inept, bad positioning, finishing, shooting, passing player
He has other qualities, but I don't see him as a team player. And I am not saying this just because of todays match, I havent been vocal about Zlatan since he came to Juve, I was patient. Bremen was the last straw. Now I am saying with a full-mouth: He IS OVERRATED!

I'm not going to blame Ibra for starting the game. But FFS what talent you guys talking about, he sure got some doesn't mean he's somewhere to be compared to C.Ronaldo or Rooney.

I feel like vometing each time I look at what Capello is doing.....The man is inlove with Zlatan or what???? Can't he Fvckin understand that when you got players Inform you can't keep them on the bench. When you got players like Del Piero sitting on the bench waiting his time to get on JUST because Capello is inlove with his TALENTED player. PATHETIC.

My first post perhaps held no arguments, it was immediatly after Graham blew the final whistle, I was really nervy and frustrated. But later on I presented arguments, go back and read them.

And so what if I doubt Gazzeta's opinion?? They just wanna sell. I really do not think that Zlatan is one of the best players in Serie A this year. I wouldn't even put him in the top 10. And he also is not the reason why Juventus is topping the table by 10 points!!

So I say sell him at his over-rated price to a Real Madrid or Chelsea, before the whole world discovers his over-rateness!

Why capslock the last few words there. No one has even debated with you if he's overrated or not, Sebastian even seems to agree to a certain extent. What's on the table here if he's crap enough to get sacked, don't try to escape the subject. You are saying:

He can't pass: Yet he got a great deal of assists in the Serie A this year, not to mention the amount of goals he's made the secondary assist to.

He's got bad positioning: sometimes he runs offside alot, fact. Is it really he's fault though? He was just injured and had to break practice, and Capello is constantly switching he's roles. Targetman, cut in from the flanks, striker, secondary striker, run deep etc etc. Shouldn't Capello be the one to blame when lining up a not fully fit forward?

finishing: 16 goals last year, though I agree with you that it needs improvement and he needs to take it chill in such situations.

    tactically inept: see positioning.

No one has ever claimed that Zlatan is one of the best players in the Serie A this year, nor that he's been the sole reason for Juventus' lead. But to claim that he's had more bad games than good games is absurd, especially when he's been instrumental during a couple of moments in the season. It was just recently that he scored a number of goals and a had a good spree, and I get the feeling that some people here have a very selective memory when it comes to this.

Tonight Del Piero was wasteful as well, but who is receiving the criticism if not Ibrahimovic, who arguably held the same level as his captain? Both are excellent players at their best, and I've already said that I'd like to see all of our top 3 attackers start together, or at least rotate properly after fitness and form Insulting Ibrahimovic is simply a trend now, just as doing the same to DP the last season was as well. I do agree that Capello's coaching is under all criticism though.

I can't bother replying both of you....As It's the same Old story....

How can I reply you two when you actually do think that Zlatan has had more good games than bad????

That is impossible to discuss Azzurri, since it's all a matter of opinion. Pecker tried to use the opinions of a well respected newspaper as an argument, but it was blatantly disregarded.

Thanks Rab, I really dont know how in hell Zlatan has more good matches than bad ones...

@Sadomin and Pecker: I have 34 matches on DVD sitting beside me over here from this season, want me to burn it for you guys and send it over to Sweden so you could have a 5 day Juve marathon and see your beloved Zlatan choking in 80% of his matches??

I am in no way a zlatan fan. I think hes playing like crap at the moment, I just think it's pure stupidity to doubt that he has talent. Rab's opinion, as much as i dont mean to offend him, count for nothing as he is 100% blinded by his unconditional love for Del Piero (not that he isn't right in this instance , and many others, but he will always say the same thing).

I don't know. Maybe everytime Zlatan plays from the beggining both (cap and zlatan) win 1 million euros more in their salary...which indeed I doubt it. But if this isn't happening i don't know what is cap smoking or drinking. I just loved when I knew that Zlatan was our new striker few years ago and I loved how he play, but now he isn't in form. I don't really understand what is doing Capello.

In both matches against werder when he got off the pitch, we scored 2 goals....

    Coincidence...?:faq2:

Maybe its an error to sell him, but maybe few minutes in the bench from the beggining will make him to react and start playing better. We can't doubt he has the potential of being a much better player.

Zlatan is, and always has been a trequartista... he is up there with the greatest talents ONLY and ONLY if you play him as a trequartista in a 4-3-1-2 formation where he can be the guy behind 2...

other then that he sucks! he doesnt move around as a striker like trez ot inzaghi does.. he doesnt head like koller or crespo does.. he doesnt run fast like eto does!!

He DOES compare with rhonaldinho, Riquelme and Aimar if given the space to dribble and think... that time and space doesnt exist as a striker in Serie A...

so as many others say... its CRAPellos fault!

I agree he should be behind the strikers, but not as a playmaker. He should receive balls, and create spaces, and he should be close to the midfielders so that there will be more number to cover for him.
