Paulo Bento's Olympiakos are seven points clear at the top of the Greek Superleague, but that wasn't enough to save his job.

The Portuguese manager was sacked on Monday after seven months in the job.Olympiakos had just lost a third straight league game, but it's still pretty harsh.Almost as bad as when Real Madrid sacked Vincente del Bosque in 2003 - 48 hours after winning the league title.
They have been playing pretty bad though, they are only leading because their squad is far better x10 than anyone in the league.

King Kazu! He's basically Totti in the J-League (2) now, lets everyone else do the running. He's the most naturally gifted Japanese still playing.

Hope this isn't "old"

Interesting read. Promising signs for Venezia, as they have Tacopina behind them, Inzaghi as their coach and Perinetti as sporting director. They've also revived their academy and sit first in Lega Pro and would rise to Serie B if they keep this up. Considering how iconic Venice is as a city, it's strange how the football club has been always quite bad: Tacopina helped revive Bologna and it seems he is doing the same with Venezia. Venice gets so many tourists per year that they even have to limit it, so getting even a percent of the crowds to watch games would make insane revenue boosts.

Tldr you can also watch a video:

Really good day out. 44,000 City fans there today. 74,000+ attendance. Don't think you would see that anywhere else for a 3rd tier trophy.

Thomas' goal was class. 6 out of 11 starters came from the youth academy: Burge, Willis, Haynes, Stevenson, Bigirimana, Thomas.

Checkmate ::lol3::

A group of supporters of Swedish football team AIK have protested a new ban on wearing masks at stadiums, exploiting an exception to the ban by wearing niqabs to cover their faces.
On March 1, Sweden banned football fans from covering their faces at sporting venuesto clamp down on violence by masked hooligans, while allowing exceptions for religious reasons.

However, the ban did not include "people who cover their face for religious reasons" or for people wearing masks in the course of their duties, for example firefighters or police, according to the law as approved by parliament.

The legislation sparked uproar among police and supporters alike when it was first introduced. Fans of Stockholm club AIK, who play in the country’s top flight, Allsvenskan, took exception to the rule during their season opener against Häcken on Sunday.

The ultras filled the stands of AIK’s Friends Arena home stadium, the biggest of its kind in the Nordic area.

A number of ultras wore niqabs to the match at the Friends Arena. The fans held up a banner targeting minister for home affairs Anders Ygeman, who spearheaded the legislation.
