I'm not sure.

Probably the main thing is that the exportation model to Europe dictated how youth ranks would work. It started in the 90s and progressed trhough the 2000s.

Talented but thin/small players were being cut off for strong kids who developed quicker than others. It was all about strength in Europe, so Brazilian clubs could sell the players.

Funny thing is that now European football is much more technical and skilled than Brazilian football.

Also clubs with more money started bringing back older and famous guys to play, reducing space for new talents to show up.

But it's really impressive how there's absolutely no new talent right now in the country, as far as I know. Players are all stupid. And most of them can't even dribble anymore.

In Brazil also a mentality of winning, no matter how u play, took place. Successful teams would play direct, counter and ugly football. Many coaches thrived with that style. A lot of fauls made and winning based on the dead ball.

Actually possession football is almost dead here. It's all about marking a lot and having quick players for counters. Not intelligent guys, or even guys who can dribble.

Genius coach Mancini is loosing now 0-2 to Genclerbirlig while Besiktas is winning 2-0, it means that Besiktas will overcome them in the table before the last 2 rounds and Besiktas has better calendar :seven:
