For more references, we have decide to show you a ilustration for you to understand this law:

In the picture, the player with the white and black jersey (we will call him "The infractor" in future references) was controling the ball, he was holding the ball...

The player in blue and black (wich we will call "The inocent victim" for future references) tacles him, hiting his anckle and knee in the prosess, notice that "The inocent victim" dont have intention to get the ball, he goes directly to hit the anckle...

Following the Seven's law, " The infractor" is to blame in this action, cause he should know in advanced that "The inocent victim" was going to hit him and injuried him.
I can't believe that I'm laughing throughout the last 2 pages I'm reading :D

I wouldn't exactly know how high that is, but I take it you get paid to play football? Don't tell me you wouldn't have been taken down there, that's just ridiculous. And like I said, Zlatan turned directly towards Materazzi just before the tackle, just look at the images. He faked a shot, which was a stupid move and it cost him dear. It should have been red for Materazzi, but Zlatan was stupid nonetheless.
Seven, I've watched the match and I don't see how Zlatan is to be blamed for his injury. Sometimes a player takes the decision of dribbling beyound another player this is how chances are made. If everyone played an obvious game noone would score (ok unless cheminti is the keeper and legro in deffence :D ), e.g. Del Piero's extraordinary assist to trezeguet during the Milan Vs Juve match last season. Zlatan decided to dribble past the matrazzi. The last is know to be an dickhead. If materazzi was aiming for the ball he would have hit Zlatan's ankle at the worse, but he was aiming for his knee/leg. Play against someone who wants to injure you and you will get injured OR not play at all.
There is a nice clip in the multimedia section shows how materazzi hits people and should've been sent off in many ocassions but wasn't (then they say refs favour Juventus  ).
I play football regularly and no I am not a pro. I play it with friend for fun or in ameture tornaments. I got injured few times. One was serious that I was away for 4 months. Injuries happen in football, and usually are to those who are dedicated to win, because they push harder than other and they become on the edge in many ocassions since they are taking risks.
Zlatan took a risk, a risk for his team to score. Got injured by an animal called materazzi. If cannavaro was the deffender he would have managed to get the ball without doing something like this. Why? Because he is a football player not a kickboxer.

That's not what I said you thickheaded moron.

Easy on the insults, you're already waking on a thin line.

Being sarcastic and giving me the high hat isn't very impressing when you can't write properly.
Not everyone has the same level of english skills, so making fun of other peoples spelling or use of English is a no no.

There's a car coming your way at 150 km/hour.

You're standing on the sidewalk.

Yet it is obvious that car is going to run you over.

Either you keep standing there, in which case you will die though it's not your fault, or you get away as soon as possible.

Get it?

Jesus wept.

Thank you, Seven for giving me a great laugh reading the past pages in this thread.

You can't be serious. I mean, you just can't.

You're hilarious!

And the car on the sidewalk, classic! :D

I kinda see where Seven is coming from, but this explanation is spot on. Zlatan took a risk by trying to dribble past materazzi and that's how he got injured. Had Zlatan passed the ball to a teammate (not saying he should have) he wouldn't have gotten injured. Zlatan is nowhere to blame for his injury, but if you want, you could say (I wouldn't) he was "somewhat responsible" that he got injured because he made the decision to dribble materazzi. But that's just a risk he took, that many footballers make each game. That's football.

Just as a psychological measure to cool him and to teach him the fine points of team spirit. It can give him the right perspective...

Lets give a chance to this arrogant bastard to become the best player in the world....and for that, some bench timing can make miracles....

Unbelievable.

For once someone actually succeeds in giving a correct analogy and he's getting laughed at.

@Zlatan: I won't be easy on the insults towards someone who simply twists my words. I never said it was entirely Zlatan's fault and I did say it should have been a straight red card. However, as you can see on the picture, Zlatan turned directly towards Materazzi, which was very foolish and in the end that is why he got off injured.

And I never make fun of other people's English, but really, giving someone the high hat when you can't write properly is dumb to say the least.

Apparently it's the right decison to let the car run you over. I'll keep that in mind next time. Really guys, when you can avoid injury, that's what you should do regardless of the challenge. So what if it's a horrible driver? But no, you would be so idiotic to keep standing there. Please.

But the risk was 100%. No way he could have done that without getting injured. You take risks like that with 50%. This was a sure hit.

But when you try to win a freekick (something which most forwards do, including DP), they wait for the opponent while covering the ball. So whenever they do it then it's their fault if they get injured? The players are trying to win a freekick for the team, but if the opponent takes it overboard then it's just the opponents fault obviously.

Look, winning free kicks is one thing, but Zlatan shouldn't have taken that decision in this case. IMO he did see Materazzi coming, but didn't expect the impact of the tackle. Like I said, it was a clear red, but I do think Zlatan could have avoided him, which had been a lot safer. Just not a responsible risk in this case.
