And Seven, I wasn't moaning about people criticising Zlatan in the first place.

I have no problems with people expressing their opinions about any Juve player, they are entitled to and I listen to what they are saying, I just don't have to agree with it. That's fine enough for me.

My original post was just putting my view of Zlatan forward, I thought I detected 'sour grapes' from the DP fans when doing so - I never said not to criticise Zlatan. It is a free world after all.

My opinion of Zlatan is, that he is a very good techiqe player, with very good dribbling. His finishing isn't good yet, but he is still young. IMO he is the bast forward in Juve squad.

Zlatan had to know one thing...

He might be trying to look briliant with the ball by trying to do somthing extraordinary everytime he touch it...
But I think most of Juve's fan here agree with me that being slefish and losing the ball so stupidly don't help his show...

When I watch a Juve game with my Milanista friends they all critsize Zlatan and make fun of him when he makes one of his unprofessional decisions with ball, they think that Zlatan might have a good telanet but he is far from being proffesional yet.....
he has to improve in tackling as well
cuz most of his tackles usually end with a foul against him

true. And even when he dont tackle. Whenever he dribbles he touches the defenders and he gets a foult against him. Either is Zlatan just too strong, or the defenders just dive and the referee has got some nice money from Berlusconi to whistle against him...

well he is strong but the defenders are strong enough too,
as always the truth is always in the middle,
he will get over it and learn to take advantage of it the italian way

Italian defenders defend better, r more skillful and physically stronger than those Dutch defenders. Does it take that long for Zlatan to realise that dribbling past Italian defenders is difficult?

but its a good thing he is trying, can u imagine the day when he will be world class, dribble threw defenders, use his body to grab, with chest, the desperate long balls we try and use his power to run threw dif defences, stand the pressure and fall the right time in the pitch, he can be a dribbling vieri, its good to have ambition(only play time with other defenders can make him a better player and increase his experiance,it needs time as dribbling threw italian defences is among the most difficult things in the world)

At least he dares to try, but sometimes it gets kinda irritating to lose the ball when u try too hard. But nonetheless I think he can still improve on his dribbling skills. Actually training him to play against a group of defenders in a training session is sufficient, Capello should try this.

Well he got by em with ease several times in Sweden - Italy in euro2004 so yes I think it will take him some time. :lazy:

he will become a juve great but not 'one' of the greats, he simply doesnt have the footballing brain to be so
He has the brains but he lacks the culture

very good that del piero is in form and trezeguet is on his way back from his ínjury. i think zlatan will only progress from a bit harder competition and getting a bit of rest after playing 99.9% of all games so far :)

I think all of those who wish to see Zlatan fail will be very disappointed. This guy's going to be at Juve for years to come and will come about to be one of the top 5 strikers in the world..we'll come to really depend on him..just you wait - I depend on him now.

So far this guy has settled pretty well, I wish to see the day in which he managed to dribble pass those Italian defenders and assist/score.
