In the pause before extra time in the game against Senegal in the World Cup, Magnus Hedman pulled down his pants to get a pain-relieving shot. Zlatan said: (July, 2002)

"What is this? Remember I'm only 20 years old."

cocky SOB, isn't he?! :lazy:
I think he's funny and charismatic. He's a player you probably love or hate, but that's cool, way too many boring people in sports nowadays anyway IMO.

Nice pics Z. :)

That interview after the game against NAC is hilarious. Especcialy because he outsmarts a journalist, which you wouldn't expect of a football player.

In interviews he's great. If you deny that you're just plain stupid IMO. It's not because Zlatan can actually speak for himself that people should think he's arrogant.

He's very cool! I just hope he produces on the pitch! I can see him really becoming a huge star at juve....hope it happens, but I also hope that Capello can maybe deflate his ego a bit....lol-I remember a while ago when we were discussing Zlatan, and, no one thought that there was any chance that he would come here!!

Zlatan shares birthday, Oct 3 1981, with keeper Andreas Isaksson of Djurgården. Born on Oct 3 are also Canadian actress babe Neve Campbell (1973) and drummer Tommy Lee of Motley Crue (1962). On this day in 1990, East Germany and West Germany united to become Germany, 45 years after being split into two countries at the end of World War II.

His eleventh-minute strike against Olympique Lyonnais on 17 September 2003 was the first of that season's opening group stage in Champions League.

Zlatan and his friend Tony Flygare once was in Tony's room and was just goofing around on his bed when Tony put his hand inside Zlatan's trousers and said he loved him and couldn't live without him. It was of course just a big joke. The problem was that in that moment, Tony's mother walked in the room and got very upset and threatened to throw Tony out of his home. She finally realized that it was all just a joke, but it was en extremely embarrasing moment for Tony and Zlatan. (Source: www.assyria.se)

Zlatan loves kids and would love to have children of his own soon.

During his first season in Ajax he played a total of 1292 minutes and scored 6 goals in 24 games (12 from start).

Zlatan is the fourth Swede to put on the Ajax shirt. The other three are Inge Danielsson ('68-'69), Peter Larsson ('87-'91) and Stefan Pettersson ('88-'94).

There are 120 people in Sweden with the last name Ibrahimovic. There are 140 Swedish men with the name Zlatan. Of these 137 use it as first name.

When he was younger and played football with his friends, he always was Ronaldo.

When he was put on the bench in Sweden's World Cup quailfier against Azarbaijan, the 35,000-headed crowd started cheering and yelling "Zlatan, Zlatan, Zlatan" as soon as he tied the shoelaces. When he came on he scored the spectacular 3-0 goal after being on the field for just 5 minutes.

In his spare time he hangs out with team mates Cristian Chivu, Nikos Machlas, Joey Didulica and Mido.

He scored 4 goals in his debut for Ajax, against amateur team Owios. The game ended 13-0. Zlatan played 65 minutes.

84 per cent of the people living in Rosengård, the part of Malmö where Zlatan grew up, have a background from another country than Sweden.

"Vägen tillbaka - Blådårar 2" is going to be a movie about Zlatan and the way back to Allsvenskan, the Swedish first division, for Malmö FF after they where degraded from Allsvenskan in 1999 for the first time in 64 years. It is also said to include a "Zlatan song".

In December 2001, Zlatan participated in the yearly superstar contest in Trollhättan, Sweden. He would have won the race with the radio-controlled cars, if he hadn't stopped on the finishing line and let female footballer Hanna Ljungberg win. "You have to be a gentleman", he concluded.
