"So far" does have a meaning, Akerman ;).

Gilardino would have been more fit. Toni would have been a better option as well. Other than that I see people like Messi, Robinho and Adriano, although I doubt they're worth less than Zlatan.
Zlatan is more versitile. Zlatan can be a box-player, playing behind Treseguet, building counter-attacks from the middle, playing on the wings. Zlatan offers so much more than just goals and finishes. HE's more all-round than the players you mentioned. Toni is a Trezeguet. Zlatan differs so much from him.

thanks mate you have said about zlatan what i think. you are exactly right and you explained it perfectly. zlatan is more than a striker and more than a mid.

Great post RochemBeck...

anyway, imo Zlatan is doing great, and what he did with the ball wasent good, but hey shit happends, and sometime it can be good, and if he gets a ban, he will return even better.. but saying "i hope zlatan leaves.. i hope we sell this punk" and shit like that is fucked up IMO... but its not a surprise that its was said by some members, who happend to be DP fans.. :yuck:

As far as out-and-out strikers are concerned Toni is the better option. Zlatan is better playing deep and creating chances and that's the advantage with him.

Toni is a great player, but i was reffering (spell) to our style of play, atleast thats what i think...

but fuck them all.. Zlatan aint going nowhere...

Forza Moggi !

Ibra escapes video evidence ban
Tuesday 29 November, 2005
Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be available for the Serie A clash with Fiorentina after video evidence of his misconduct against Treviso was deemed inadmissible.

There were fears that the Juventus star would receive a ban after he was caught on camera throwing the ball at Marcello Cottafava, striking him on the back of the head, during Sunday’s 3-1 victory.

However, as referee Salvatore Racalbuto noted the incident in his report, video evidence cannot be used. The official saw the move and considered it unlikely to cause harm.

This is not the first time Sweden’s Player of the Year has found himself in this position. Last season he was banned for three matches after swinging an arm at Inter stopper Ivan Cordoba – an incident that the match official missed at the time.

If he had been given a ban, Ibrahimovic would’ve missed this weekend’s showdown with Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

“Ibrahimovic has remarkable technique,” noted Viola hitman Luca Toni. “Marco van Basten was more complete, but the Swede is improving all the time. It won’t be easy to keep him under control, but I have faith our defence can do it.”

By a bizarre twist of fate, these two arch rivals will face off twice in the space of three days, meeting in the Coppa Italia on Thursday evening and in Serie A on Sunday afternoon.

“We do not have the pressure of a Scudetto on our shoulders, so we’ll face Juventus the same way we took on Milan,” said Toni.

“We really want to do well in this game, and in the Coppa Italia, of course. As soon as I set foot in Florence, the fans let me know this was the most important match of the season.”

Ibrahimovic may have avoided a ban, but nine other top flight players have been suspended for the Week 14 games: Falsini (Siena), Alberto (Siena), Fini (Ascoli), Ficini (Empoli), Mexes (Roma), Camorani (Lecce), Corradi (Parma), Castellini (Sampdoria), D’Anna (Chievo).

I'm becoming more and more afraid that Zlatan's arrogance will get the better of him, and eventually get the better of the team as well. As Vinni has stated time and time again, if Zlatan continues to show a lack of respect for opponents on the pitch he will be sent of or banned during a time when we need the player the most. I do not know how many times I have seen Zlatan look at an opposition defender with his "I'm better than thou" expression on his face and then make some sort of gesture the referee could perhaps take action against.

I also abhor how many fouls he has this season alone...and how he makes the most unneccesary fouls on a defender who is pinned back in his own zone when two of our attackers surround him. These nonsensical fouls do not help the team one bit and who knows what could happen if we patiently wait for the defender to turn the ball over. Zlatan also has a tendancy to give the ball away too easily on simple passes...he can make some stunning through balls, however when it comes to making an easy square pass further away from goal he gives the ball away more times than not. This is what Ibrahimovic must work on to become one of the best forwards in the world, and if another ban is needed to knock some sense into him, then so be it.
Which basically is what I said. You need to take into consideration, Andy, that Zlatan has been like this for the past 4 years. Ajax have tried their best to calm him down and we've been doing the same for 1 year and a half now. I honestly don't think there's still hope left he'll change.

Seven, I think you cant count the 4 years that he spend in Ajax, after all, Ajax its a club known for having trouble players, I really dont think that at his spelled in Ajax someday try to change him.

I still hope and believe that he can change, and I think that Juventus is the rigth club to help him.

And if he doesnt change we can always sell him :D

Of course Ajax tried to change him. They're a professional club and they knew what was wrong with Zlatan's mentality from the start. If Zlatan had been such a tremendous talent with the right mentality to become the world's greatest they would have asked far more than they did now. Just compare Messi to Zlatan, I know who I want to see at Juventus.

well, IMO opinion, Zlatan can still learn and develop into a great player, I mean, in his first year in Juventus he has achieved to be in the top 10 players to win the Ballon D'oro.

And he doesnt have to score alot of goals, in fact, if he can mantain the form presented in the Treviso match, Im VERY happy.

And about Zalatan vrs Messi, yes Messi maybe better, but Messi plays in the spanish league, a very offensive league, Italian League is more tough and defensive, to give a fair comparation between the two we would have to see Zaltan playing in Spain, or Messi in Taly.

To me, Zalatan is a great talent, and he does have a problem with his actitud. but he is young and he can mature, and if he does he will be great.

Zlatan should have been more than a talent. Look where Ronaldinho was at Zlatan's age. Zlatan is nowhere near that level. Sorry, Zlatty, you're just not good enough. You're alright to be Juve's striker for a year or two, but if you don't behave you have to go.

well of course that if you compare Zlatan vrs Ronaldinho, Zlatan is gonna seem an ordinary player, I mean we are talking about Ronaldinho here, the best player in the hole world.

Zlatan is never going to be a player like Ronaldinho, but that doesnt mean that he is not going to be a great player.

Anyway, this is useless coz you have your opinion about Zlatan alredy, we will have to wait and see

We are JUVENTUS. If not the best, we need the second best player in the world. "Good" and "great" won't do, we need the "best".
