When rambo attacked that left flank the way he does like that we look a totally different team. we should play to his strengths and that means using him as our wing back cos thats what he does best!!

Get that shit in boy!!!

Vieira keeps Juventus door open
07 Oct 2001

Arsenal star midfielder Patrick Vieira could be set to quit Highbury for the Juventus and the Italian Serie A.

The 25-year-old French international told an Italian newspaper that the Serie A giants, Real Madrid and Manchester United are all chasing him, but out of all three the lure of Turin and Juventus "is a very big attraction". Should he decide to quit Arsenal, the move would end a troubled period for Vieira who openly criticised manager Arsene Wenger and the club for its lack of ambition, slamming the summer signings of goalkeeper Richard Wright and winger Francis Jeffers.

He told Tuttosport: "Juventus, Real Madrid and Manchester United are all chasing me. But I can't deny the Juventus offer is the really interesting one. I'm a professional and as a professional my mind is open to all kinds of options for the future."

"I can't say that the road back to Italy for me is closed, especially when the team that looks for me is Juventus. The 'Old Lady' is a club built to win and projected to win. And a player there, whatever his religion, colour or nationality, is sheltered for 365 days a year."

"Turin may not be the same as Paris, London or Milan, but Turin is Juventus and Juventus is a very big attraction. Juventus looked for me last spring but Arsenal said no and didn't want to let me go. And so I am here waiting for some news."

This was way back in 2001, so i knew he was a some stage juve bound.

Hey weasley, I asked you a while ago about Pat and you were sure he's staying. Can you tell me your opinion about the transfer now?
well actually it came as a big surprise to me,this specualtion around Vieira happens every year,or at least it has been for the past 3-4 years.what surprises me is that i havent heard arsenal linked to a DM until now,but Wenger replaced Petit,Overmars,Adams,Ian Wright and lots of other top class players in the past.so i dont see why he cant find the solution to vieira's replacment.

And what do you think about him with Juventus?

Don't worry about Wenger, he will find the right person to replace him.

well i think he's a fantastic signing for Juventus, and i'm sure he'd form a strong partnership with emerson in midfield.not even the Gattusso Pirlo combination is as good as this one,and i think Juventus need one more signing and they'll be strong favourites for the CL next season.

btw, that one more signing IMO should be a strike partner for Zlatan,as i dont trust Trez,Dp,Miccoli or Zalayeta to be up for that task.

Yeah, Emerson Never plays offensive in any Brazil games, infact he is strictly giiven the responsibility to enhance defense as brazil already have starloads of attacking options.

Oh ya!...I just meant he didnt play that role in Brazil, even emerson himself stated that he would like a more offensive role. And now with Vieira he will not have to worry about filling the hole at midfield.

Emerson Can play a bit Offence, Like in Brazil.
Remember guys, Emerson scored the crucial two goals in the 2-2 draw against Djugardens. I think he is fully capable of being an offensive threat when he is given the chance. The aquisition of Patrick Viera MAY allow him to do so.

Emerson is defenitly better in attack then Vieira, so we may see a more offensive player next season. He used to go forward a lot more while he was at Roma, but maybe that was because Roma didn't have any decent attacking midfielders.

but we all saw what he was capable at roma
I hate Emerson for what he did but...

Don Bes is right, Emerson is fantastic at going forward, this is why in my opinion he was a fool to join Juve, his offensive talents are being wasted just to be "cautious". And I dont think anything is going to change now Vieira is there, since Emo normally played with Blasi or Appiah anyway, who were defensive midfields anyway, and as long as Juve are too cautious, they will not in the CL.
