its true we r in 3 place but it would be exteremly hard to maintain that position if we play with no proper defenders. apart from leogratalie there is no one to step in for andrade or chellini's place since we loaned out crisitico.

as for the coppa italia its true we managed to draw against inter but it was a 10 man inter and with out ibrahimovic int here starting line up.

and yes its true its part of juve's tradition to start slow but thats when u have a complete team, right now juventus does'nt have a complete team.

the attack on raniri is not just for the sake of it, its cos of the way he manages and insists n doing the same mistakes each and every match. his subs are waaaaaaaaay to late, not to mention most of the time they r meaningless. when a manager goes out and say players like vdv or hunter are not needed then there is def sth wrong specially when al yr problems lay in yr creativity. juventus at least till this half of the season had no problems with defending the midfield yet at the back if it was'nt for buffon ranirie would've been sacked alooooooooong time ago. if it was'nt for last minute goals or super preformances by nedved or del piero he would've been shown the door.

Great post.

A 10 man Inter is much more capable than an 11 man Juventus without Camoranesi, Nedved, Chiellieni, Andrade, Buffon, Marchionni. Every creative player we have was injured, we missed all the elements of the team that can't be replaced and pulling a draw under these conditions is definitely a great result.

You don't know for sure if Ranieri is in control of everything, you guy assume that you know 100% and judge him based on that. Let me remind you of something, do you remember Lippi? well back then we needed creative players, we needed more cash for transfers and did Lippi get it despite his statues and achievements at the club.

At the end of the day you're just guy sitting home watching tv and reading articles on the internet and there is no way in hell that you know for sure whats happening inside the club. That part is a part you can never judge because you don't have all the facts. Who said that he was serious when he talked about VDV and Diego maybe it's a smoke screen, maybe they don't wanna get the fans hopes because in that case they will be pressured to do the deals and if they fail the fans will jump on their backs. Maybe they don't want them and have other plans.

Ranieri was hired for a reason and was given an objective and he is so far achieving it. If we want to judge him then we gonna have to wait, if we finish fourth then he did his job and no one can blame him. The way he forms the team and how he make substitutions etc is not for us to decide before at least 1 year has passed because thats when can see where he stands from the objective he's been given.

Yes the other Sissoko is Moussa Sissoko, he plays for Toulouse..he's only 18 years old..but physically he is a monster..very strong in the tackle..he got promoted from the reserves this season, and he's already got a starting spot...The kid certainly has potential:agree:

Definitely a good player to get, although the defence and creative midfielder department of the team is probably in more need of reinforcement.

In saying that, we also have Nocerino as a young player and Marchisio isn't one to let go of and should return to the squad either this winter or in the summer.

If Sissoko joined and VDV followed him, it seriously would be a good midfield reinforcement.

Last but not least, a midfield of sissoko and zanetti would be better than nocerino and zanetti...this would help our defence out as well as we would have a stronger DM.

Woudl seriously be pissed off if he was the only one to join though...that wouldn't make any sense at all.

Totally agree. but we got to wait for VDV

Also that fact that DM's pick up so many cards and what not having 3 good ones is fantastic. Plus seeing how we will be in the CL (i hope) it is good to be able to rotate between, Zanetti, Momo, Nocerino and Marchisio... especially seeing how Marchisio and Noce don't have past CL experience. Momo knows what it is like to go toe to toe with the likes of Dhino and Lampard and what not.

Rafa releases Sissoko to Juve Friday 25 January, 2008

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rafa Benitez and Mohamed Sissoko have confirmed a move to Juventus could be completed over the weekend.

Liverpool midfielder Sissoko has made it abundantly clear for some time that he wants to leave the Premiership side and reunite with his former Valencia Coach Claudio Ranieri.

"I have very good contact with Juve and my agent is in Turin to have negotiations," Sissoko told Sky Sports News.

Now Liverpool boss Benitez has also noted that a deal is in the offing for the 23-year-old, as money from this sale would be poured back into making Javier Mascherano a permanent buy.

"It could help," Benitez told Liverpool's official website.

"We don't have too much news but we are working with Sissoko and I think we are close to a final solution which will be good for him and the club.

"I have confidence Mascherano will stay with us. I don't know the exact position now but I talked to the player yesterday and he wants to stay.

"I have had some contact with the owners. We were talking before about Sissoko and Mascherano. We are working and being pro-active."

Juve cleared a place for Sissoko – who is currently with Mali at the African Cup of Nations – this week by handing Sergio Almiron to Monaco.

Tiago Mendes is also expected to leave Turin during the transfer window in a £9m move to Tottenham.

i've seen more excitement from the fans when we signed baiocco.

:D LMAO!!

I just hope Tiago really screws up Secco by not going to Tottenham so we won't have the cash to splash on that Vieira wannabe...

Why couldn't we just bring back Marchisio????????
oh well

It says Mali's Manager allows Sissoko to go to Turin and sign the contract, as long as Juventus send him back on a club's plane on the very same day so that he can get back to Ghana and hook up with the NT by night!!

God forbid all flights from Italy that day!!

(keeps fingers crossed)

I dont know if any of you guys watched the nigeria and mali game, but shitsoko was absolutely terrible, he really made a mockery of himself.. at times he was trying to do skills only to fall over himself and the referee was well lenient as his mistimed tackles should have well got him double booking and sent him off to the dressing room. His positioning was as bad as his passing, I didnt see anything promising from him and reading on goal.com that liverpool are now linked to a possibly 10 mil move for aimar.. just makes me sick. Well done Secco and Ranieri
