Mellberg really doesn't bother me all that much since he'd just be a Boumsong replacement (and probably for a less ridiculous wage). His skills say he's no better than third CB and fourth when Andrade gets back. The price in June is right at zero, and if they brought him in now, one would assume it would be no more than 500k-1m Euro as a courtesy to Aston Villa.

Sissoko bugs me cause he's big money for a reserve player.

Ujfalusi or Melleberg? pretty much the same kind of player, but i would have thought Ujfalusi would be better as he is experienced in Serie A...but i certainly won't mind seeing Olof @ Juve...he is top-drawer, and will provide some much-needed aggression and aerial ability to the defence
