You'll see. You might be laughing now, but you wont be when Adu scores the game winning goal against Croatia in the WC in 2010. That is, if Croatia is even there.

HHAHAHAA thats something to laugh at.
Don't be funny....something like that will onley happen in my worst nightmare.....and nightmares never happen.

Hes 17 now right?

Consider this. Your calling Rooney overrated (which I agree with) and Rooney tore apart that garbage that was the Euro at 18 years of age.

Freddy Adu hasnt done anything yet but he ISNT overrated? Wheres the logic?

A professional in the MLS? Ever try to predict what age Rooney would have became a professional in Mikey Mouses league?

But its like you say, a player becomes overrated when they do something big but fail to keep that going? Ok ill call Freddy Adu overrated when he actually DOES SOMETHING and then drifts back to the obscurity he will learn to accept.

For now he isnt overrated. For now he's nothing.

This isnt a war. You dont have to defend americans.
I know talent when I see it, and Adu has that talent. I guess you have no clue about bodily systems because he has not even gone through puberty yet. His weaknesses lie in his strengh and speed, not his skill. You see, once Adu gains the strengh needed to compete, thats when we will see how "overated" he is. He plays against defenders twice his age in the MLS, what do you expect? At 15 years old nothing more can be asked of him. You probably have never even seen him play, however, I witnessed every DC United match last season and he did a fine job. I'm not talking out of my ass here, the kid has a lot of talent. To deny that, Turd Face, is shamefully retarded.

Cmon,we all know he is 5 years older than that......and If he is a real talent he would be playing for some European klub. And dont bullshit now......Barca and Real are chasing a 9y old in spain :)

Bodily systems? This isnt spiderman. Another year isnt going to turn him into a superstar player. Let him mature alittle more and he will become an AVERAGE player in a european league. Fact is he hasnt done anything that warrants this kind of attention.

When corporate america are finished milking him ill go see him play with West Brom.
If you are so pissed about how the media overrates him why don't you just not pay attention to it and instead actually watch him play.

People from Europe or any where else in the world are so quick to put down our soccer, even to the extent of making fun of the word "soccer." I find the latter rather pathetic. However no matter what we do our football is criticized and put down for no reason. Yeah, were not all idiots over here we know we do not have a history of soccer to read that much into and our players are not as good as other countries. Nobody that I know is questioning that and we realize that we have catching up to do. Even some asshole pundits were saying we should not have made it to the Quarterfinal, with no substantial reason other than because our football history isnt that rich. Well sorry to break it to everyone but we already know that however we still deserved to be in the Quarterfinals and also deserved to have tied Germany in the regular 90. Some people think its fvcking hilarious to bag on the US for "lack of football quality" but I'm sorry to say that countries like Holland are much more pathetic because with all the talent they have had they couldn't do anything. Their whole tradition is football however they cannot cut it at the tournament. You think thats funny? I didnt think so.

So when we finally have a good player at our hands everybody outside the US is so quick to take shots at him he is almost set up for failure already. People feel the need to squash the chances of Adu and strike him down for being America's greatest talent ever. If Adu was still playing for Ghana he would not get this much praise and slander from the goddamn media, so the best bet is to just ignore it. Instead of opening ur big mouths trying to make Adu look fake or whatever other nonsense assholes try to say sit down and actually watch him play. But noo, thats too fvcking hard right? Let us have our one damn talent and let us be.

Barkuss: Have I ever made a mockery of Croatian football? So why are doing that to my side? You never sease to amaze me with some of the shit you throw out.

TBH Andy, Jarni was one of the better players of the Croatian WC98 generation and he did play for Real Madrid among other teams.

What you are missing here is that Adu is pretty much our only "world class" talent we have ever had, the only talent that could be mentioned in the same breath as some of Europe's. The reason why Adu is so overrated is because he is infact America's biggest soccer talent in history, not because he has the possibilty of becoming a world class player.

My stupidity? Coming from a woman who has probably never seen Adu play, I'll take that to heart.
