Juve Czech out Grygera
Ajax defender Zdenek Grygera could be set for a Bosman transfer to Juventus, according to the player’s agent.
The Czech international, whose contract with the Dutch giants expires in June, has been heavily paired with a move to the peninsula at the end of the season and the Bianconeri recently admitted their interest in his services.
“There are several important Italian clubs who would like to sign Zdenek and I have scheduled meetings with all of them,” said agent David Nehoda.
“Juventus are our first option, not only because we have an excellent relationship with the club, but also because of Pavel Nedved’s presence in the team,” explained Nehoda.
The Bianconeri are looking to strengthen the squad in view of their likely return to Serie A and Grygera is highly considered for his versatility, as he can also play in the midfield if needed.
“Grygera is a player we’re interested in,” Bianconeri director of sport Alessio Secco has previously been quoted as saying.
Juventus are also chasing Palermo’s World Cup winning defender Andrea Barzagli, who is a reported target for Milan, Fiorentina and Inter, as well as West Ham midfielder Javier Mascherano.

The Czech international is contracted with the Dutch giants until June and has been paired with a move to Italy at the end of the season, with Juventus one of his possible destinations.
“We have received an offer for Grygera from Inter,” said one of the player’s agents Tomas Klecka to the Czech newspaper CTK.
“It seems likely that Zdenek will leave Ajax this winter rather than at the end of the season, in order for his current club to collect some cash from his departure before his contract expires in June.
“I believe that a decision on this issue will be taken as early as next week,” concluded Klecka.
