What are these soap operas over DD"s departure?
We must asume the facts in two directions:
-I agree that DD ia a real Juventino and helps Juve in his most black days in serie B.Thats a fact.
But why making a drama over his leaving. He got one concept about players, board another, and that is it.Why do not we consider that maybe DD wants to leave because his wishes about players were not fullfilled?
I agree in full that Blanc is ages far from real football world and maybe Secco is to inexperienced.
-But I was watching almost every game of Juve on TV on German Premier channel this year ,in Serie B.
I must say that how Juve played in Serie B was a disaster with few exceptions.
Very flat and lifeless game, just to win ,and that is happening in Serie B.
Being a Juventino does not have anything with good coaching.
As I pointed out ,DD is not a right caliber of a coach for Juve.
I really believe that Lippi(our man) will be back.If Lippi does not came, than this move of the board would be wrong.
Thanks DD,but this is real world.

Never said the treatment was the right one... I am one of those that thought he should stay in the first place!
I am just trying to understand why they did that and I am saying if it is to get Buffn and Lippi then its understandable (the decision not the way it was done!)

As I expected it was only for a short term. Well done Didier. :) He did all that was asked of him and more, at least when it comes to results. We need a "real" coach though for Serie A.

Juve old boys race for bench Sunday 27 May, 2007

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Marcello Lippi warns he does not want to end his sabbatical just yet, so the list of names to lead Juventus extends to Gianluca Vialli, Walter Novellino and others.

Following Didier Deschamps’ resignation, which was made official by the club late last night, the future is up in the air for the Bianconeri.

Back in Serie A after their promotion and mathematically securing the Serie B title with a 2-0 win over Mantova, all the focus is already on next season and the newspapers tipped World Cup winner Lippi to return for a third spell on the Turin bench.

“For the moment I will not come back to Coaching,” he told 'La Stampa.’ Lippi has been on a break since lifting the ultimate trophy in Berlin in July 2006.

Another option that has been suggested is that Lippi would become the technical director with his former captain Antonio Conte – currently in charge of Serie B side Arezzo – as the tactician.

“Certainly I would be honoured to accept such a role, as long as everyone respected their positions,” said Conte.

The other candidates to lead Juventus back into Serie A following their year in the wilderness are also former fan favourites.

Ex-Chelsea boss Vialli is currently a pundit on Sky Italia television, Claudio Gentile has been out of work since he was sacked from the Under-21 squad and Novellino will have his final game with Sampdoria this afternoon.

The latest rumours suggest that Francesco Guidolin would be an ideal candidate. He will be free of ties after taking Palermo to the UEFA Cup – despite a three-week period in which he was sacked and brought back again.

Lazio tactician Delio Rossi has been heavily linked to Juventus in recent weeks, but Biancocelesti President Claudio Lotito is at pains to point out he has a contract until 2009

This is some freaky shit! Just last week i was messing around with my friend saying Vialli is the new Juventus manager simply because he loves vialli at his time with chelsea (who my friend supports). Looks like the joke could turn into reality.

Vialli! Vialli!

Very true! However, the names mentioned apart from Lippi are no better than DD. My idea of a "real" coach would be Lippi, Prandelli or Spalletti.

Nevertheless, thank you, DD, for helping Juve through her darkest time!:pint:

can you tell me what Vialli did after his Chelsea days?
Not sure, but I remember him doing an interview on TV saying that he had written a book.

what we have done to DD is just evil...... I knew he had a problem with Secco n 'em when they were dilly-dallying on giving him a contract extension.
N 4 all those saying we were boring in Serie B,i say nit-wits!Relegation battles are not about finesse, they are all about grinta,u need to grind out results bcuz most teams are defense-oriented n play with 9 men behind the ball.DD did his best with wat he had n its a shame we allow him 2 be treated like so!

Thank u Mr Secco. Now u can bring in Dello Rossi,Novellino or some other nit-wit like u always wanted

well thanks DD!! the fans will miss you..

but what if all this is to keep Buffon at Juve? He did say wherever Lippi goes I will go, and what if Lippi gave them a green light to come to Juve? Lippi and Buffon vs. DiDi? I would go for Lippi and Buffon!
Lets wait and see what were the real intents of this resignation! If Lippi doesnt come to Juve then I would agree with everyone here..
SHAME ON THIS BOARD! you dont treat an ex-juventino like that!
Only Ex-player and now ex-coach , my friend , i'm sure even he won't coaching us anymore , he's still our Juventino :agree:
