I'm also not dissapointed at all,and i do think this signing is fine.
I just Hope Xabi comes in as well for the creativity job part.
Are you fine with everyone who comes to Juve?Just because he choose to come to Juve? Are you fine with Poulsen, Knezevic and Melberg?

I think we should sign top players in size of Juve not just sign because it is transfer time. Secco obviously not capable to bring top players to Juve, so he goes for second type players.

Anyway, I prefer Poulsen to Stankovic and I also hope Alonso come.

NO i'm not fine with everyone,

BUT

1st thing is stop bashing SECCO!he's not deciding who to bring,it's Ranieri's job.
and i'm sure if Poulsen comes in,that means that CR wants him and chose him!

2nd
If CR thinks Poulsen can add something to the squad then i have faith in him, because after all he's the Manager and knows a thing or two about football, and for sure more then you,me or anyone here...

3d Poulsen is a good expirienced DM.and NO ONE(from the board) ever said that he comes to bring us creativity.i repeat again NO ONE!

-And i also think that Xabi will join,so we'll have one hell of a midfield!!
or even then you'll bash Secco?!

4th Mellberg is a good defender, yes he's not WC but still good, and afterll he might as well be our sub and even astarter,so Mellberg from the bench?i say yes.
As for Knezevic,he be our last priority on the bench,he won't play more then 5 games imo this season,so why even to worry about him,he'll be a sub in few games maybe acouple more in the Coppa, for that job,Knezevic is more that enough.

His case might be easily become another Rivaldo-Milan dilemma but in case just in case he managed to play as he did for Barca prior 2006.

Imagine the amount of creativity in such formation even without purchasing another top class striker (Sheva, Adeb, Drogba...):

_________Pato

Ronaldinho____Kaka

_________Pirlo
Yeah, hopefully Ronaldinho (if he goes to Milan) will never get back to his 2004-2006 form but if he starts giving even 50% of his capabilities, then Milan's new attacking force may easily be remembered as one of all time best.
This is bad news for Inter, though. Unfortunately, it will take a miracle for this new Juve (don't forget that we'll play Wednesday/Sunday) to be involved in the scudetto race. Milan getting stronger will be bad news for our top4 finish, but it's much worse news for Inter and their status of favs for the scudetto.

Let's say that Xabi comes too.Well, we'll have a great midfield but our weaker spot will remain weak...
We reinforced our attack, and if none leaves we will have one of the stronger attacking forces in Europe, and with Xabi, not many teams will be able to cope with our mid.
But what will happen with the defence?Legro was good but some of his mistakes cost us points, and we all know what we expected when Molinaro was ready to cross...
And what did we bring to reinforce the defence?2 players, who maybe are good for the bench...
With the 10 M we spent for Poulsen we could buy Grosso, or try to bring a very good CB, because don't forget that we have many players for exchange.
Let's hope that Knezevic and Mellberg to play well, but I really doubt that they are what we say world class defenders.
I really can not understand this transfer policy.
We clearly needed some creativity from the mid, and two good defenders(left and central).
So far we have bought nothing of these 3.
The only hard was to find a good CB, but we could easily find a LB(Grosso), and a creative central player(VdV was near but CR did not want him).

so lets say we get poulsen xabi and amauri plus our 3 yougnster back... that would be an good transfer window...but the biggest problem remain the defence... maybe we r good at the right with zebina and grygera and we have an wc cb in chillini what we lack is a good partner and a lb... don't know about mellberg and co for cl games or the big games in serie a... and i don't know what will molinaro do...maybe he can pull out a legro and play good season but i doubt it... and after andrades next injury we should defenatly go for an new cb

I believe in Mellberg. I watched him at Aston Villa and he played pretty damn well for his team. I think Mellberg can be a good partner for Chellini. We shall all see this season... At Leftback i believe De Ceglie is the man! He might be young and inexpierenced but he will become the next huge thing i know it!

On paper Milan, Inter and Roma have much more better squads than Juventus.

Fiorentina did well in mercato while Napoli, Palermo, Udinese and Samdoria will certainly aim for European spots.

Top 4 finish won't be a walk down the road that's for sure.

Yeah, too bad that you're right again :)

Inter will win more pts than us, no matter how much we want the opposite to happen.
Milan will have a stronger team than last year's one. They won't play the club world championship in December and they won't play tough CL matches (last year they played 2 matches per week for 3 straight months, because the schedule had to be changed due to their CWC involvement). On the other hand, we won't have the luxury to play 1 match a week.
This certainly makes them strong favorites to win more pts than Juve in serie A.

Roma- i expect them to start falling. They were really strong in last 2 years but they had the bad luck to compete with very strong Inter (strong in every way, including the ref help). Now they also lost Mancini and it will be tougher.
But last year even though they played CL until April while we played only serie A, they still finished above us with 10pts difference.
Now we start the season earlier than them and we won't have the 1 match per week advantage. I'll be really surprised if we end up above them in the standings.

This leaves only Fiorentina. I like Napoli a lot but they can't end up 4th, while the other teams don't have enough quality to compete for the 4th place.
It's us and Fiorentina.
Viola will also start the season earlier and they will also play tough CL matches. The difference in quality will decide who'll be in top4.

Hopefully, one of Milan, Inter, Roma and Fiorentina will have a disastrous season like Milan had last year and they'll make the job easier for us. But there are realistic chances that we'll be the team that will have the disastrous season and we may end up missing out on CL next year.
I'm an optimist and i believe that such a disaster won't happen, but we shouldn't fool ourselves that a top4 finish is certain.

Well someone has to be more optimistic right?

So here i go,imo we finish the league on either of the first 2 places.
So we make the CL without the qualies next year.

To say Roma have a stronger squad than Juve on paper... I'm sorry but I find that to be preposterous. The other two, yes but not by much.
Even though things feel shitty atm with signing the likes of Poulsen, remember we still have the best striker department of Serie A and the best goalkeeper. If only we had a solid D like the good old days.

But it seems that you just want someone to come. Who? No Different!

Anyway:

1. How do you evaluate Secco? in short (0-100). We all know what he has done sofar!

2. Everyone surely add something to squad (even Vieri and Andrade), at least the number of players and amount of wages we pay! But do Poulsen and some like Diego, VdV and Aquilani add same quality? and McLaren also knew something about football, but he make England worst in Europe in History!

3. But we need creativity. Hell all people know that we need creativity and thats why this guys ain't fine for the Job.

4. If we get Alonos, still I think there are 5-6 better midfields in Europe.

5. Melbergi is a good player but not as good as Juve. You know what? All player we got this year are smaller than Juventus. They're not good enough for Juve (Except Amauri ofcourse).
And you say we got Knezevic for 5 games in a season? If it is true, then I also can do the Job! and I don't want any money too! :)

We start summer by Diego, Secco Failed --(then)--> VdV, Secco failed --(then)--> Flamini, Secco failed --(then)--> Aquilani, Secco failed --(then)-->Rakitic, Secco failed --(then)-->Alonso, Secco failed and because Secco don't like Deco, Lampard and ... He finaly find Poulsen! Dose anybody left in Market? Anyone lower than Poulsen?

But you still FINE! Everyone add something to Squad!

Why I bashing Secco? Cause he deserve this! I remember Emerson and Vieria was our first targets and Moggi got them easily and with good price!

I admire your optimism and I hope at least Alonso comes.

But Secco ............... Sorry!
