Price-wise it doesn't matter really.

10m fee + 5 year deal worth 3m(it may be less) a season = 25m

0m fee + 5year deal worth 5m a season(flamini gets this much at milan!) = 25m
You're right, an absurd wage, but Flamini is far and away the better player IMO.

Probably so.

I see the sense in getting Poulsen as Sissoko's alternative, but it's a lot of money for an alternative when someone like Xabi should be a priority.

Gigli said we're going to spend between 10m and 30m on a midfielder. Poulsen costs 10, what about his other 20?

look at it this way, we will cement our cm with Poulsen
who will get through a combo of Momo- Poulsen?
and this will also alleviate pressure on our defence
I still prefer Xabi but you have to be with two to tango or in this case with three
if Xabi really wants to go to Juve, Pool would have a hard time not to sell him but that doesn't seem to be the case
all of a sudden I see where Stankovic fits in

Yes but you must look alsob wages from other players. Flamini would have one the biggest wage in our team, so that was the reason, because otherwise everyone would want to have bigger wage.

Jep! If Poulsen is the only cm we are buying, it would be the end of the world. But if we get Stankovic or hopefully Xabi Alonso, it would make a lot of sense!

Reports: Juve On Verge Of Signing Poulsen

Juventus are just hours away from completing the signing of Sevilla’s controversial midfielder Christian Poulsen, according to the latest reports in Italy.

Reports: Juve On Verge Of Signing Poulsen

Juve are well known to have made a centre midfielder their top priority this summer, but despite pouring their efforts into a host of targets, including Xabi Alonso, Alberto Aquilani, Dejan Stankovic and Marek Hamsik, they have yet to bring anyone in.

Last week it was reported in the press that the Bianconeri had turned their attentions to Sevilla’s Christian Poulsen.

The 28-year-old is something of an infamous figure in Italy, following his clash with Francesco Totti in a Euro 2004 group game between Italy and Denmark.

During that match in Portugal, Totti spat at Poulsen after being provoked by the midfielder, and was later banned for three games through the use of video evidence.

Poulsen, who has also had high-profile clashes with Gennaro Gattuso and Carlo Ancelotti, has a minimum fee release clause of €10m in his Sevilla contract, a fee that Juve are more than happy to cough up.

Old Lady sporting director Alessio Secco is believed to have held a meeting with the player’s agent last week, and according to latest reports a deal is all but completed, and Poulsen could officially be a Juve player within hours. There is talk of the Dane receiving a three-year contract worth around €2.5m per season.

of course marchisio isnt near lampard man, but then again i'm not v familiar with him as i havent seen him play much, and youtube videos can make molinaro look worldclass which cant really be trusted.
i'm just asking is he a similar type of player to lampard... of cos without the long shots and goals...

I don't understand our transfer strategy at all.. We all agree we play a 4-4-2 and most likely will continue to do so. We already have 3 very good strikers and 1 talent in Palla, yet we decide to buy Amauri. We have 2 very good DM in Zanetti and Momo and 1 talent in Marchisio, and now we want to buy one more.. Instead of one who can pass the ball like Xabi... I'm getting sick..

Marchisio is more like a box to box player altough he doesn't have Lampard's nose for goals yet
Lampard often plays close to the forward while Marchisio is much more a midfield player
no dm no am but in between
he has good stamina but still lacks strength to go the distance all game long and every game
technically I believe he is better then Lampard
in short Lampard is more attacking and off course more experienced
Marchisio is more of a midfield player, defensively and technically better

this is absurd, this guy is shit, we want to win the scudetto, how the fuck are we going to with this prick?

it pisses me off when we cant do anything about, quite clearly this is a bad transfer, not like sissoko's who i didnt want but had the potential, this guy will fuck it all up.
