i know, as an Azzurri supporter it's the fuckn most annoying thing to see him constantly screw up time after time after time, whats more annoying is that I thought he may have been starting to turn it around latelty with Samp.. Someone please cut his vocal cords out or something

I have to disagree with you about Balotelli.. He is born and raised in the Italian culture by italians and as far as im concerned Balotelli is "more" italian than u or me (i presume ur 2nd generation italian)... I'd have no problems seeing him in the Azzurri colours whatsoever
i understand what your saying, but the guy isnt italian. he doesnt have italian blood. i disagree with him being more italian than me i dont know about you but although being in aus i have grown up very italian and with italian culture all around me, and i do speak the language pretty well.

I wish FIFA would tighten up the eligibility rules for international football.

You should only be able to play for the country of your birth, or the country of a parents birth.

That should apply to managers too.

Thats a pretty complicated situation.I dont think there will ever be a solution to this issue. For instance,if we're talking about the country of your own birth, then Trezeguet wouldnt have played for France,Vieri wouldnt have played for Italy etc.Vieri for instance, has an Italian father,a french mother, and he was born in Australia. That effectivley makes him eligible for 3 countries. But yes, both these players became eligible for their respective countries because of their parents.

But what about someone who was born in Uganda, who has Chinese parents, and who lived his entire life in a country like Brazil, thus getting the nationality to that very country? On paper he becomes eligible for all 3 countries, and to be honest,he'd have the right to play for Brazil as he's lived his whole life there.but he wasnt born there, nor does he have Brazilian parents.

Reverse the situation, and what if someone was born in Brazil, has Chinese parents, but lived his entire life in Uganda? If he chooses to play for Brazil, fans wont exactly welcome him because he hasnt lived in the country at all,nor does he have Brazilian parents.

Its a loophole in FIFA regulations that can never be solved in manner that will make everyone happy IMO.

Yeah.

International football is about pitting the best of one country against the best of another, and I think that should mean there are restrictions on the coaches as well as players.

I agree about players, but managers?? i mean Scotland have some pretty good managers, but what would a country like England do?? :D
They'd be fucked :D

Valid points and you're right about it being difficult to solve.

I just fear that a country could get a bunch of Brazilians to come and play in their country for a few years, become eligible for that national team and then field a side made up of people who have nothing to do with that country, except for a few years residence. It is an extreme example, but I wouldn't put it past some nations, with no football ability but lots of cash, to do something like this.

Just because gays like him doesn't mean that he is gay.
I realise this. I know he is married and has kids and i don't really have a problem with homos I would just be so disappointed if he actually was one. Despite his leaving juventus i am still a huge admirer of the man.

Vieri was born in Italy, he grew up in Australia. But i do see your point it is a complicated situation. I think in a situation like this it should be the country that the person feels like they belong to most.

and if u cut out Cassano's vocal chord that would just give him another thing to throw at referees.

OMG!!! please tell me that Cannavaro is not Gay!!! De rossi 2!! Fuck Ambrosini i don't care about him.
Canna named Gay Icon Friday 7 March, 2008

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fabio Cannavaro has received yet another personal accolade after being named Gay Icon of 2008.

The World Cup winner and Azzurri captain was handed the award after an Italian television and marketing survey.

A panel of 500 chose the Real Madrid star ahead of fellow Italy teammates Massimo Ambrosini and Daniele De Rossi.

Cannavaro won 18 per cent of the vote while the Milan and Roma midfielders received a nine and eight per cent share respectively.

The announcement was made on the day that FIFA President Sepp Blatter gave an interview to The Times revealing the presence of a homosexual community in football.

“There are many gay players in this sport who don't say so openly because they fear that they will not be accepted by groups solely composed of men.”
Oooh god.. Now the next step will be FIFA encouraging teams/NT to have a percentage of GAY players in their squad to promote diversity. THAT WOULD BE FVCKED.

Aaah fvck... I can imagine it.. almost 50-60 perscent of the game is cenetered around the corner kick area where two gay players "are fighting over the ball" one protecting it with his body and the other is trying "to get to the ball"..

Aaaah.. Thats sick..
