This guys a fucking retard. Does he realize we have no power over cammo being kicked off the NT? What is us admitting cammo shouldn't be on the team going to prove? Maybe he thinks we live in imagination land? Fucking tool.

well if you want a black player on the NT, look no further than Balotelli. Even though he was born in Africa he was brought up in palermo. No Italian roots but he's lived here all his life.
Not 100% sure, but I thought he was born in Palermo? Sure he's Italian, he looks just like one of my cousins.

Oh boy, seeing Cassano's "performance" today (even tho he played pretty well) I can only hope that Donadoni isn't seriously considering him for EURO 08. If he breaks under pressure like that against Torino u can already bet that he'll get a flurry of cards in a tourney like EURO 08...

ya, sorry, I was confused. He was born in palermo, but he has an african background. I think Ghanaian? Not positive though. His parents immigrated here and he was adopted by the Balotelli family after.

Vieri was born in Italy, and moved to Australia when he was 9 years old. He moved back to Italy when he was a teenager.

The next question we should be asking InternalAffairs is should Gooch or Adu be allowed to play for the USA, even though neither was born here, and didnt exactly spend their whole lives here either
To be honest i don't think they should be able to. A national team should represent the Nation. But for America to have foreigners it is different than other nations as America is a melting pot of different ethnicities and lots of immigrants. But i am still opposed to players on teams when its not their nationality. I am an Azzurri fan and my parents are almost 100% Italian with a small amount of Swiss. My blood is mainly all Italian yet i have lived my whole life in America and if i was to pick a national team it would be America.

I still really want to see Cassano in the Euros even after today. He needs to start taking anger management therapy and it will all be good. Him and Toni would form a devastating partnership.

Cassano is a head case...no telling what might happen if he doesnt like a ref's call during the tournament

Cassano: I'm so stupid! Sunday 2 March, 2008

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Antonio Cassano has apologised to the referee and his fans after another shameful outburst. “I’m so stupid.”

The Sampdoria star was sent off for dissent during today’s 2-2 draw with Torino and lost his famous temper, throwing his shirt at official Pierpaoli and needing to be dragged away by teammates and opponents alike.

“I apologise to everyone, I did something that should absolutely be condemned and compromised everything positive I had done up until then,” said a repentant Cassano.

“Almost immediately I realised that I had done something really stupid. At the end of the game I apologised to the fans and my teammates. I also clarified what had happened with refereeing designator Pierluigi Collina.”

Collina was in the stands at Marassi for this match and was insulted by the Sampdoria fans when Cassano was dismissed.

“We are sorry for Collina, but thankfully it was only down to ironic applause and no violent reaction,” said director general Giuseppe Marotta.

This is certainly not the first time that Cassano has caused controversy with his over-reaction to refereeing decisions on the pitch and Sampdoria are ready to take action.

“It was obvious the player had to be sent off. Unfortunately nowadays it is considered almost normal to tell someone to go to Hell, but it is an excessive form of protest that had to be sanctioned.

“First of all the Disciplinary Commission will evaluate the incident, then we will take action too. Cassano, and the club, have both apologised to Collina.”

no either shoudl balotelli, stop trying to put words in my mouth, and camo is acceptable because he is a part italian. god how many times do i have to say it. as ive said 100 times if oyu have italian grandparents you should be able to play. honestly when did i ever say balotelli should play.
I have to disagree with you about Balotelli.. He is born and raised in the Italian culture by italians and as far as im concerned Balotelli is "more" italian than u or me (i presume ur 2nd generation italian)... I'd have no problems seeing him in the Azzurri colours whatsoever

As for Amauri i can't be more against his inclusion in the italian national team.. he's never once expressed his pride for Italy nor his passion to play for us as his adopted country.. And yes i was against Camoranesi playing for us but at least he took pride in playing for Italy

Whats your point? Ofcourse he's still Argentinian but hes proud to off played for us and in his own words has "defended the colors of Italy with dignity" which is true as he's been a total professional whilst playing for Italy on and off the field.. I know what you mean tho as i was completely against his original call up but his behaviour and commitment for Italy since getting called up has been nothing short of examplery..

If i was Donadoni i would tell Cassano that he can come to the euros if he sees a therapist every single day between then and now. He needs help but he would probably just take off his shirt and throw it at the therapist then run out screaming.

Its very simple, Amauri is a brazilian (who's only italian connection is name, Roma's Mancini has one too), and should play for Brazil. Has no bussiness playing for Italy just because he practices his profession there.

While Balotelli in comparison has every single right to play for Italy. 100% and unquestionably. Not a single reason besides an insanely bullshit one that says he shouldnt.

Don: Cassano door not closed

Azzurri Coach Roberto Donadoni has insisted he will still consider Antonio Cassano for Euro 2008 despite the tempestuous forward's recent behaviour.

Cassano was banned for five matches and fined £11,000 after reacting badly to his sending off against Torino on Sunday.

Sampdoria's fantasista insulted referee Nicola Pierpaoli and will not play again until April 5 against Livorno, leaving the Barese only six games to impress Donadoni.

The Nazionale tactician revealed his concern at Cassano's actions, but also believes the former Roma player can still come good.

“From the point of mental tranquillity, Antonio is living a difficult moment especially after Sampdoria's recent run of good result,” he told Sport Mediaset.

“I believe he needs to realise that he has made a mistake and then erase the episode from his memory.

“I don't judge people. I recognise that certain attitudes are harmful - they hurt him, his image and the sport.

“He knows this, I have told him many times. It will depend on him, his way of life and his behaviour.”

Donadoni also felt obliged to comment on Amauri, as the 27-year-old is expected to become a communitarian citizen in April.

That means the Palermo ace will be eligible to play for Italy as well as his country of origin, Brazil.

“There is still no certainty regarding the necessary documentation,” Don insisted. “We will need to carry forward these discussions. I will value him if he becomes available.”

The 44-year-old was also asked about his plans before the European Championship in Austria and Switzerland this summer.

“I haven't done any great experiments lately, I might insert one or two players,” he revealed. “This could happen also in the next game with Spain.”

The former Milan attacker concluded by giving his opinion on his old club's exit from the Champions League.

“I believe the Rossoneri are not on top at the moment, they are not in an ideal condition. They faced a young and brilliant Arsenal.”
