Eazy told me he was happy with what has been done so far. But of course he doesn't like losing Torres, nobody would.
However, they set themselves up for the now and for the future with the acquisitions of Carroll and Suarez due to the sale of Torres.

Dare I say, that move was "Moggi-esque"

For 50M I'd say that's pretty smart. I had questions over whether it was right to sell in January though.
You only have to look at the transaction history of these principal owners when they are doing dealings with the Red Sox.

They do this all the time.

They traded their most popular player in 2004 at the trading deadline (Nomar Garciappara) to the Cubs, and the pieces they acquired helped them win the World Series.

It didn't surprise me in the least, to be perfectly honest with you.

DOn't worry guys. I'm planning to seize Gheddafi's 7.5% in Juve and buy the rest. I have a few connections(dial-up.com, the guy of Cirque du Soleil....)

Yeah.

I don't think it's right to compare this move with Liverpool owners, I actually think they will be big and do great.
What new owners have invested ''big'' in a recent football team. Bar the Arabs.

Typical optimism always surrounds these kind of deals and in years to come they're no better off only debt stricken and you know why? because they take loans out to buy the clubs they use other peoples money and it always bites them in the ass.

I know, the only good thing I can see about this move is attracting more investors to the league, it remains to be seen if we are attractive to some rich bastard.

I don't think there have been lack of offers for Juve but the lack of desire to sell the team. People don't like him but I think Murdoch made an offer post 2006. Offer not that good? :boh:
