And you are talking about occupying Lebanon? I admit the Syrian army did many horrible things there, but there was a civil war in Lebanon and Syrians were asked to intervene! they did bad things there but they also stopped a really ugly civil war...

About the Tal Al-Zaatar incident, I really don't know anything about it...
They were going to intervene whether they were asked to or not IMHO. It was in Hafez interest to occupy Lebanon for many reasons. I wouldn't say they only did bad things, more like horrible things. From raping women to kidnapping youngsters into ruling the country the way they wanted it.

No to also mention how many Lebanese politicians they assassinated in the last 30years.

I understand what you are saying, Rab from your own point of view... But to say that they only did bad things is far from truth I believe...
Is there any proof that Syria was behind those assassinations you are talking about?
Anyways, this is a very debatable issue we have here... :D
Let's just keep it here about the October war :pint:

Yeah, the Syrian-Lebanese-Palestinian thing should have it's own thread. I wouldn't finish if I start with whatHafez and his men did in Lebanon and I wont finish about Yasser Arafat as-well. :p

Abed shouldn't escape from this too :D

You know I hate Arafat more than you hate him. No?

Nothing about Arab history in the past century makes me proud or feel like celebrating. Other than the liberation of Arab states from Western colonization, other than that, theres nothing to celebrate really.

Darn, I thought this was going to be about the possible "October Surprise" terror attack or war escalation everyone is talking about.
