People want to take Totti off the team, but if you don't have a replacement for him, then what good does that do.
Take a look at teams like Portugal who have Deco and Maniche, or the Netherlands who have Van Der Vaart and Sneijder. Creative, attacking midfileders who are just as adept from 25 metres away as they are in the box.
Italy doesn't really have someone like that, except for Totti. Most of the midfielders are hustle guys and those who aren't afraid to do the dirty work, but with the exception of perhaps Pirlo, who would you trust leading an attack?
