40 mill for literally someone nobody had heard of. Yet can barely get interest exceeding 20 mill for Italy's best attacking player in Chiesa...
Makes sense to spend more money on an unknown than an attacker who has barely contributed since his injury and commands very high wages. Unfortunately Chiesa is on the downward trajectory in terms of value. He needs to have a stellar season this year, otherwise he’ll end up as another also ran. I hope he does.

Yes but Max Kilman is 27 and 0 international caps and has shown nothing of note in his career.... 40 mill???

Incredible footballer, and he could've achieved much more without those constant injuries. Still he had an insane career.

He basically retired when that picture was taken

Union getting a Dutch makeover it seems

Van Nistelrooy heading there as assistant manager

And now they could be signing Zirkzee and De Ligt

I wonder if this means Ten Hag is set for a longer stint at Union. Getting all his Ajax and Dutch boys in one place.

Ever since he’s been there he always looked to build in that same direction, already has with him the likes of Martinez, Onana, Van den Bek, Malacia, Anthony, Eriksen, Amrabat etc, basically all either came directly from Ajax/Eredivisie or played there in the formative years of their careers.

There’s actually a clear pattern that so far hasn’t been a very efficient one for them, yet they are doubling down on it.

See this is the funny bit, despite all the stories of him being sacked and all the time the management took to even confirm ETH for this coming season whilst signing a 1 year extension when his deal will have 12 months left next summer, just screams short term and no real trust in the guy long term. It's actually going to be fucking hilarious when it all turns to shit, shame they'll probably give the job to van nistelrooy if ETH goes, was kinda hoping Southgate wouild be given the job.

Going all in with ETG might seem like a lower-risk move for Radcliffe than the alternative, but for me it's still high-risk.

If they think winning a couple of domestic trophies, which are now second and third rate trophies for a club like Man Utd, glosses over the failures in the elite competitions, then that's fine with me. But like I said before, if they keep giving the guy time and money and players than he'll have to get it right eventually, surely? They either have a much improved league season this year or they fuck him off.

Well it seems strange to want to invest heavily it seems on another summer window just for ETH, who will go into this season with 12 months left, which makes the whole 1 year extension all the more baffling to me. It's like with us, we didn't invest much in last summers mercato partly because of lack of Europe but because we seemingly didn't see Allegri as a long term solution and wasn't worth investing.
