Daily Mail journalist Sami Mokbel issued a report (as captured by @iMiaSanMia) that shows how Harry Kane is in complete control of the ongoing battle between Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur.

In the end, it might just be Kane standing over both power clubs:

Harry Kane will leave the ball in Tottenham’s court and will tell Ange Postecoglou he’s open to all options when they meet for showdown talks tomorrow. Despite major interest from Bayern, who have had two approaches rebuffed by Spurs, Kane will enter discussions with Postecoglou open to all options.
Kane finds himself in a very strong position. Even if Bayern cannot strike a deal with Spurs to sign Kane during this window, the striker knows he can leave on a free transfer next year when he will have a host of Europe’s top clubs to choose from.
What should be concerning for Bayern Munich fans is that — per this report — Kane will not demand a move, but will, instead, sit back and let the two clubs lock horns. If he transfers to Bayern Munich...then great! If he stays with Tottenham Hotspur and plays out his contract en route to free agency...better! If he doesn’t move during the summer transfer window and Tottenham Hotspur overpays him with a new contract rather than risk losing a club legend on the verge of breaking the Premier League goal-scoring record...best!

Yup, Kane does not lose under any of these scenarios.

Report: Bayern Munich inform Sadio Mané he’s unwanted
Will the former Liverpool star be one-and-done in Bavaria after all?

Another twist, another saga. While Bayern Munich try to pry Harry Kane away from Tottenham, they may be also trying to push one of their own forwards, Sadio Mané, out the door. Per a report from kicker’s Georg Holzner:
Sadio #Mane, as @kicker learned, has already been informed internally that the club is no longer planning to work with him in the coming season. The Senegalese is expected to leave the #fcbayern in this transfer window. For Bayern, it’s also about saving Mané’s salary.
Mané has been the subject of speculation over a move to Saudi Arabia already this summer, but both the player and his representatives have consistently denied this — and emphasized Mané’s desire to continue in Germany and prove himself to Thomas Tuchel and the bosses.
But with a huge transfer spend and salary potentially landing on the ledger, Mané may not have demonstrated enough in his first season. His pre-World Cup injury and the subsequent coaching and system change from Julian Nagelsmann may have further landed his place in jeopardy.
Mané remains a marvelous player, who at his peak was a joy to watch. But Bayern look to be moving in a different direction at striker, and are well-stocked on the wings (Serge Gnabry, Kingsley Coman, Leroy Sané just for starters). It would be a shame to see things end this way — and it could get very awkward indeed if Mané, still under contract for two years, does not assent to a move.

According to a report from La Repubblica (as captured by Sempre Inter), Inter Milan and Bayern Munich goalkeeper Yann Sommer have agreed on personal terms.
However, the Italian side has not secured any type of agreement on a transfer fee with Bayern Munich:

Inter Milan have agreed terms with goalkeeper Yann Sommer, but have yet to come to an agreement with his club Bayern Munich. This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, via FCInter1908, who report that the Nerazzurri are ready to agree a four-year deal with the 34-year-old Swiss international, but that they still have to convince the German champions.
In the past week or so, Inter have made their move with Sommer and his representatives. According to La Repubblica, Inter have already convinced Sommer.

In addition, La Repubblica also reported that Bayern Munich wants a fee of €10 million for Sommer, while Inter Milan is reportedly only prepared to offer the Bavarians €6 million.

Is there no end to the transfer madness? Not if you're plugged in enough. Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna is reporting that Bayern Munich head coach Thomas Tuchel is still driving some interest on the part of the Bavarians for 22-year-old French midfielder Khéphren Thuram.
Via @iMiaSanMia:
Thomas Tuchel still wants Khéphren Thuram at Bayern. Nice want €50m, but none of the interested clubs is willing to pay such a fee. Thuram could end up staying at Nice, but there’s still much time left until September 1st [@Santi_J_FM]
Let’s review the midfield situation one more time. Bayern have Joshua Kimmich (apparently set to become a No. 8 next season), Leon Goretzka (already the #8), Ryan Gravenberch (a No. 8 who isn’t playing enough and might leave), and the incoming Konrad Laimer (a No. 8 who might be asked to be more of a No. 6) and Raphaël Guerreiro (a left-back who might play midfield).
Between Tuchel and the Bayern bosses, there seems to be some speculation that there’s a wish for someone more defensive — a real No. 6. Naturally, then, Bayern are linked non-stop to box-to-box players. See Thuram’s heatmap, for one, his OGC Nice profile also refers to him as an “attacking midfielder”.
Does the Spanish outlet have the inside scoop? Stranger things have happened! But Bayern have other priorities, and the way the report is worded, no outcome is going to be wrong.
