Meh, he served the club well. He was quiet, said everything right, showed up, played hard.

I have nothing poor to say about him, good luck. He's a Bayern Boy.

Honestly, his mom and Sali talked out of retirement. He became 70% of his potential, and played 55% of his games. I hope he does well, because I don't think he will.
Him leaving is okay, I just never saw him being that good of a player as other Bayern fans kept saying. Not that he was shit, but he also didn’t make any difference.

We won the treble without him, he was injured.

Bayern Munich has quite the list of names they are willing to let go this summer. None of which are major surprises, but the price tags are a whole other story. Bayern bosses are clearly not having a fire sale anytime soon, despite a number of players who are willing to leave the club.

Bayern’s price expectations start at a modest €1-€3 million euros for Sarr, and increase for goalkeepers Nubel and Sommer. Both around the €8 million euro range. Coming back from a successful loan to Manchester United, Sabitzer is priced at €15 million.

One outstanding figure seems to be Sadio Mané who is listed at just €20 million euros. Ouch. The Senegalese forward was valued at €70 million when Bayern acquired him last summer and was even valued as high as €150 million back in 2020. Not quite the numbers you want to hear, and he’s not exactly old yet at 31.

Benjamin Pavard for €35-€40 million seems about right, but Ryan Gravenberch for €40-€50 million might be a stretch, considering he was purchased for only €18.5 million euros and hasn’t done much in the last year to improve his value.

If his salary wasn't crazy 20m for Mane would be a bargain. Hard working attacking top player. Technically doesn't fit in Bayern, but doesn't mean he can't excell again elsewhere.

That's an amazing bit of business from Coventry tbh, he had one year left on his contract.

As great as he's been, he does create and miss a lot of chances. I think he'll score goals in Portugal but mostly interested to see how he does in the big games and Euro football.

Best of luck, Vik!

Is he good? I seen him called up to Swedish NT recently but I actually never seen him play.
He was basically a one man wrecking ball of an attacker last year in the Championship, and it's a league where there are lots of rough and tumble defenders. I only saw maybe 2 or 3 players get the better of him. He's just very direct and relentless, perfect counter-attacking player. Whether Sporting play much like that I don't know but I am curious to see how he does.

I think his finishing is good but not great, but he'll make chances for himself so it's normal for that sort of player.

Report: Harry Kane will tell Tottenham he wants to leave for Bayern Munich
Is this moving along, or is it another stage in the poker?

Hold your horses. On the heels of suggestions that Harry Kane might not even want to depart Tottenham Hotspur, his boyhood club, German outlet Sport1 reported that it’s simply that the shoe hasn’t dropped yet — but is about to.
From Kerry Hau, via @iMiaSanMia:
Harry Kane only wants to join Bayern - other interested clubs have already been informed, which strengthens Bayern’s position in negotiations. Kane, in all likelihood, will inform Spurs of his desire when he returns to training on Wednesday [@kerry_hau, @SPORT1]
If true, of course, things are pretty advanced — as it would mean the player has a concrete offer and a concrete desire to leave. If you want to review Hau’s full report, we covered it here.
For TalkSport, Danny Murphy and Alasdair Gold on the Spurs beat had the following exchange:

Kane’s genuine affection for Spurs, where he has been since 2004 — when he was only eleven years of age — has raised questions over how seriously he would really consider moving, either to another club in England or abroad. And much of the back-and-forth on the rumor mill lately has clouded the picture further.
We likely won’t know anything until the dust finally settles. But piercing through the fog, the fundamental driving forces for a move do appear to be there: a new club that wants the player and a player that wants that club. It may now be a contest of wills: how much can Bayern Munich be made to part with in order to finally land their successor to Robert Lewandowski at the number nine?

“I don’t believe a word you say”: Mehmet Scholl has some choice words about Lucas Hernandez leaving Bayern Munich
Suffice to say Lucas “Scholl” not be remembered of fondly around these parts.

Lucas Hernandez is now officially a Paris Saint-Germain player. The perceived lack of loyalty to Bayern Munich for sticking by his side throughout his injury spells rubbed off the wrong way on some fans, one of them being ex-player Mehmet Scholl. The 52-year-old had a special message on Lucas’ farewell post:

[Twitter Post showing Sholl saying "I don't believe a work you say, bye bye."]

For some, Lucas now treads a path that Robert Lewandowski forged in his move last summer transfer window to FC Barcelona. Lewy’s first season by his own standards was off his peak — “only” 32 goals across all competitions — but he nonetheless helped the Catalans recapture the La Liga title. It remains to be seen if Lucas will do a Sergio Ramos and delay his debut due to what he’s known for.
Many will now remember Lucas’ time at Bayern by the way he left. But there’s also what he did for the club while fit. Thank you and good luck on your future endeavors, Lucas. It shouldn’t have ended this way, but it is what it is.

Serie A and La Liga is a bit affected by the stupidity of the Barca and Juve mgmt, both teams have lived way over their means for years, have had unsustainable wage bills and made many stupid transfers, so cant afford to spend like they would if theyd be financially healthy like most teams in England. Hopefully after 2 or 3 years we'll be able to spend 50-100m of our revenue on signings and not just rely on outgoing transfers.

Two clubs showing interest in signing Benjamin Pavard from Bayern Munich this summer
As expected, Pavard could still yet leave Bayern before the summer window closes.

There have been several twists in the tale of Benjamin Pavard’s season at Bayern Munich. He’s now entering the final year of his contract with the Rekordmeister, and at the offset of last season, it looked like he had hinted that this was assuredly going to be his final season as a Bayern player.

He has a preference to playing at center-back, but Julian Nagelsmann most often deployed him as a right-back, though that changed with Lucas Hernandez’s long-term injury as well as Thomas Tuchel’s tendency to toy with a back three system. Even Nagelsmann sporadically used a back three system, which suits Pavard’s preference of being able to play as a center-back.

Going into the summer transfer window, Pavard was knowingly a candidate for sale, as he wants to find a club that would want him to play as a center-back. He had been previously linked with FC Barcelona, Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea FC, Real Madrid, and even AC Milan. However, Bayern had yet to receive an offer for the Frenchmen — up until now, that is.

Per Tz’s Manuel Bonke and Phillip Kessler (via @iMiaSanMia), two clubs are showing interest in signing Pavard this summer and that Bayern would be looking for somewhere in the price range of €30-€35m to sell him. Per transfermarkt, he’s currently valuated at €40m, which is slightly higher than the €35m that Bayern paid for him when he joined from VfB Stuttgart back in the summer of 2019.

The “two clubs” showing interest in Pavard were not named, though it might not be too farfetched of a bet to assume it’s one of the club’s that he’s previously been linked with. For what it's worth, though, Sky Germany are reporting that the asking price for Pavard would be more along the lines of €35-€40m, slightly higher than the fee mentioned by Bonke and Kessler. Either way, Bayern could turn a small profit from Pavard’s sale as their efforts are still solely focused on trying to complete a blockbuster move for Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane.

Those players are off the market for them. They can make the money they want anywhere.

Mid-tier players who aren't going to make 10, 15, 20 mil a year are their target. Percentile players between 70 and 90. Any above 90/95th percentile player is out of their market.
