Haha, easy peasy

Though they dont need Bonucci type of defender IMO, prolly need more of a Barzagli type.

You still need a starting DM, with out due respect to Coquelin who did well enough, but the very fact Wenger thinks his talents he handpicked is good enough to carry the load entirely is the exact reason you havent won a trophy that matters for a decade now. Buy a top quality starting DM and have the young kid Coquelin rotate/be the backup. Unless you still want to be dominated by likes of Monaco just because they actually have midfielders who arent soft asses that leave acres of space and dont help their defence whatsoever.
Monaco aside, Coquelin performed admirably for most of the second half of the season. It's hard for me to hold the Monaco game against him when the whole team was terrible in that game. And I really do think you're underrating Coquelin or at least underrating his performances. Now for me, the big question is whether he can keep up that level, because if he can, then he is good enough to be our starting DM. Schneiderlin is not a big enough upgrade over Coquelin if the latter kept up his form IMO, at least not from a defensive standpoint. Coquelin is just as good a tackler and interceptor of the ball as Schneiderlin, and that is what we were missing in midfield. It makes little difference to me that Schneiderlin is a better footballer in general; certainly not a difference I'd be willing to pay 35M on.
That being said, if Krychowiak would come at a reasonable price, I'd love it if we were to make a move for him. He's just as good as Schneiderlin and would most probably come cheaper and command less wages.
I don't get the level of mirth.
Seems a fairly unremarkable transfer to me.
Player has done well for the last couple of years.
Certainly don't think you could criticise Milan if the fee had been 25m instead of 30m, but that won't be looked back on as being significant if he does well.
I don't understand why Alex Song is being allowed to sign for West Ham.
There are very few clubs in the world who wouldn't be better with him in the team or as an important squad player.
And Coquelin seems to be the greatest new, young defensive midfielder at Arsenal since Denilson was the greatest new, young defensive midfielder at Arsenal.
I agree about Bacca and Song. I'd love if we were to bring Song in, but I doubt he'd accept sitting on the bench though
As for the Coquelin - Denilson comparison. That's a terrible comparison, every Arsenal fan would tell you that. The day Denilson left for Brazil, I was happier than the day we bought Ozil. For me Denilson never impressed me, he was a player that only impressed in the Carling Cup, he had no discernible skill set. He just ran around all game, getting out muscled by everybody, he had zero technique for a Brazilian too. Terrible player, probably one of the worst midfielders to start for Arsenal in recent memory.
Coquelin in contrast, played an amazing second half of a season. He killed it in the FA Cup, against United in the quarters, against City at the Ittihad, against Liverpool at the Emirates. In addition to being very consistent in general in the league. He was one of the top defensive midfielders in the league last season. His interception, tackling ability and work rate was such a breath of fresh air. Again, it's happened before with us, players have had purple patches and faded away so I've become quite reserved when it comes to those young players Wenger plucks out of nowhere. So I cannot be sure that he'll replicate last season's performances, if he does though, we will not regret starting him.

I've seen Bacca play a lot for Brugge. While I do rate him, I think he is barely good enough for subtop teams. Sevilla, Milan, Wolfsburg, Arsenal, .. You know, not Juventus, Real Madrid or Chelsea.
That being said his statistics are very, very decent.
I can only accept that jab, because he's definitely an upgrade on Giroud
I would say though, if Mandzukic is good enough for Juve, then so is Bacca.
Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG, City and co have world class strikers. Obviously Bacca would not stand a chance in those teams.
