I haven't watched him too many times but he isn't really like Pogba. He's more of a holding mid as you can see here. This is from last season.

Based on Brazilian analysts he's had an average of 39 completed passes per match and 94% accuracy last season. A bit like Marchisio it seems.

they needed such a player since Modric is injured. they play too offensive in the league with Kroos Isco and James and i think Ancelotti realized that wont work against top CL teams. he wasnt that expensive either, around 14-15M which doesent seem like a typical Real transfer

I think he was injured at the start of the season but is back fit now.
I just think he isn't playing because Modric/Kroos/James/Isco are all in front of him, but the same will go for Lucas Silva I guess so that is why I doubted they really needed him when they also still have Khedira that isn't playing.

Khedira is leaving in the summer, maybe hes a replacement for him? anyway, playing a midfield trio of Kroos James and Isco against a team like Bayern wouldnt be very smart i think

Khedira is leaving... wondering which freebie will Marotta go after this summer. We surely have a limited money with all the co-owns we need to resolve and taking up the loan options on some players.

Never seen this guy play. But it's kinda crazy he ended up at Real straight from Brazil without being a phenomenon or stg.
