It's official Fc Bayern Munich and ATLETICO MADRID agree terms and Mandzukic is a new player for the spanish champions. Mandzukic signs a 5 year contract with ATLETICO MADRID.

I'm sad you leave Mandzu, you were great, a real warrior on the pitch, but you were unhappy under Guardiola, I wish you good luck in Madrid and all the best

Well, he is good. And it doesn't matter if he's linked with a move away only after his WC games, same goes for Claudio Bravo, who has signed for Barca only after this WC, although everyone knew he was great last year when he helped Real Sociedad to reach CL.

And he is only 27 years old, how is that "almost 30"? If he keeps up this tempo, he can play for another 10 years. And really? Is this the first time ever a player has a small clause, gets bought and continues to deliver top class performances? It's football, you can buy David Luiz for 50M or Keylor Navas for a few millions, buy out clause indicates nothing about his quality as a goalkeeper.
Course the clause relates to ability !!!!

Its posible he will get better, sure. But I doubt it. You can vault me on this, but he is a classic World Cup player.

And on Bravo, well you answered your own question 'he helped Real Sociedad to reach CL'. So he earned his move, before World Cup form.

Im sure im wrong on some players, but you get my point on World Cup performers.

Dirk Kuyt has also looked a world beater in this world cup.
Aston Villa's centre back has looked unstopable.
A Premiership relegated midfielder got to the semi final.
The best performing left back in European football looked absolutely lost.
Chelsea's new star striker looked out of his depth.

I would not be too quick to judge players on a world cup. See Diouf.

Any player that looks good, I have straight away looked up their form over the last 2 years. Surely that is the real measure of a player ??!!
