wait, why do they have a sporting director. isnt it in the EPL that the coach and the SD are done by the same person, so they call their coaches managers?? but maybe i got something wrong here :D

England - Italy
Manager - Coach
Assistant manager - Assistant coach
Coach - Technical staff

No sporting director equivalent appears for English football, only for clubs who utilise an overseas approach to transfers (such as Spurs with Franco Baldini). Ed Woodward is the vice-chairman, and he assumes final responsibility for the financial and administrative input into signings. In England traditionally the manager has greater say in transfers, which is why he is termed a manager rather than just a coach, who is technical staff.

reported transfer fee of Fabregas €33m+ bonuses, not bad for an accomplished and popular player when you consider Willian's and Fernandinho's transfer fees of €35m, €40m.

I can't believe he's paid 'only' 35mln.

Lamela went to Tottenham for around 35 while he was only a huge talent.

Fabregas on the other hand is top class player, that transfer fee is a bargain for him. Chelsea knows to get some huge discounts.

Worst thing about the FFP is that now big teams like Real and Barca will ask for huge numbers to sell their players. A few years back they sold off guys like Robben and Sneijder way below market value but now according to the FFP they will put more effort into the books.
