It's a matter of getting world class players in, they know they probably wont get the real targets they want. At least it's a step in the right direction for the Moyes era of signing top quality players when they are available. Arsenal didn't need Ozil there were more important positions to fill and sigign him has shaped their season even if he really isn't as good as people make him out to be. Mata is a player i like very much, sadly we dont have the money to spend 50 million euro on a player. I know Mata can play on the wing but he's a different type of winger than we would be looking for. I would still take him though if we had the chance to sign him.

This sort of signing pacifies fans, gives them hope for this season or next. They obviously have big problems in defence and CM, but I'm sure Mata will lift them. At least paper over cracks for some time.
