Yeah I also think he's a decent player and he can fit into EPL as well. It seems Cardiff and Fulham are chasing him at the moment.

From a few games I've watched, I don't agree that he sucks. He's actually pretty good and will definitely be a huge upgrade over Chedjou. But I'd still wait and sign Vidic on a free transfer at the end of the season. I prefer quality and experience players in CB position, especially when we have young and inexperienced Semih Kaya.

But Mancini knows Astori far more and if that's who he wants then go ahead and sign him. It is said that his transfer fee will be somewhere around 6-7m.

I don't like Astroi, he's a mediocre player at best. I'm not surprised Mancini chases him, though.

However that's a decent price. He'd probably cost around 10-12mln if some club within Italy wanted him.

Astori is an alright defender, he will never be world class though. Not by far. But still, 10-15 millions is a fair price for him in todays market.
