Horrible move for Cavani anyway. PSG might have money - but they ain't no Madrid or Chelsea in terms of stature.

The good news is Napoli is severely weakened without him. There is no way they wi adequately replace him. Sure they can upgrade other areas of the squad, but Cavani was 99% of that team towards the end of last season.

Sky Sport Italia - PSG offered Napoli €62m + bonuses for Cavani, but club want €70m. He's spoken to Pastore & will be offered €8m a season.

70m :howler:

Napoli are going to build a great with that.No need to underestimate them.

Well their rise came with Berlusconi and their decline came with the decline of Berlusconi, they have no money anymore to spend like in the 90's till 2004/2005 when Berlusconi was in his prime time as politician, and they wont rise again untill a investor comes to spend some money for new players or they start to establish a good new generation of young players and play attractive football, lets say like dortmund with a brilliant coach.

edit: here the years they won the CL : 1962/63, 1968/69 <gap> Berlusconi era 1988/89, 1989/90, 1993/94, 2002/03, 2006/07
Different situation now compared to era before Berlusconi. They are global brand now and are not doing that bad if you look at their income statement. Certainly they've been doing the right things cutting down the wages and reducing their squad size. Next summer they'll probably invest more. Berlusconi will eventually step down and his daughter will take over.

The world is slowly falling in the perspective that Chelsea ain't different from oil clubs and is a big team?

Which could be scary, because with that money he could easily buy 3 great players.
Yup.Napoli unlike the two Milan clubs have run on profits these past years.Whoever says they're going to decline is being ignorant.

I think they'll a build a much more complete team now instead of basing the whole game on one player like they did under Mazzari.

Sure Cavani is a big loss ,but they'll make other positions stronger a build a well rounded team just like we've done for example.
