There are a lot of reasons for that. Mainly because he was a big fan of Dortmund since he was a child, he used to be a member of Dortmund's ultras club. There is a huge rivalry between Schalke and Dortmund and he always talks shit about Schalke in every interview, how much he hates them and what a disgraceful club they are. That's why many people don't like him, because he shows absolutely no respect to other clubs.

Next thing, he's considered to be a racist by some people. He had a little brawl with Greuther Furth's player Gerald Asamoah in one match and he apparently racially abused Asamoah the whole time. After the winner was scored in that match in the 120th minute, Grosskreutz ran towards Asamoah and again made fun of him. In his interviews, he really comes across as a half-brained idiot, (not only because of hate towards Schalke), always very arrogant and cocky, so accusations like that seems to be quite legit.

Finally, he's just a mediocre player. He's considered to be as an all-arounder, who can cover multiple possitions, but in reality he's useless in all of them. As I've said before, the only reason why he is still there is probably because he's a big fan of the club and Dortmund didn't have enough time to find a good replacement for him during the winter mercato.

I guess you are not from germany, but respect for your knowledge about the bundesliga and those hostility between Dortmund and Schalke. As you mentioned the main reason why grosskreutz is still there, is because of his love and loyalty for the club, dortmund as a club really appreciate him.

Chelsea getting Van Ginkel, any good?

- - - Updated - - -

I dont understand what formation Chelsea will play, balance is wrong, their CM department is weak. Also where the fuck is Gab these days? They need a CDM.

Honda and Poli joining Milan, I think they will sell Noce and Boateng in due time.

He didn't really stood up for Holland in the U21 tournament. Strootman was all over for them.

They have Lampard, Mikel (for now), Essien who returns from loan from Real, Romeu, Ramires and now Van Ginkel.

Quantity enough, quality?

Mikel and Romeu, rumoured to be leaving and we are not sure if Van Ginkel is going to stay or loaned out to another club yet.

Oh ya, and they are closing in De Rossi as well.

The contract talks with Flamini aren't progressing well, so it looks like he's on the way out too. So I'm guessing this will be their midfield..

Montolivo-De Jong-Poli
Honda

Fiorentina are close to Ambrosini.

That's looks rather mediocre IMO. Poli has not been impressive despite talks of his amazing talent. Honda is the most exciting player out of those 4.

I still think Napoli is a stronger team than Milan at this point. Hell, even if they sell Cavani I think they are going to be stronger and if something goes wrong Benitez will be the one to blame.
