I dont think so, Leverkusen wont do the same mistake, because the right back from real madrid, his name is Daniel Carvajal developed to a proper defender last season in Leverkusen and unfortunately they lost him to Madrid because they insert a buy-back clause as you mentioned. Therefore I guess Leverkusen did this time without any buy-back clause.
